Ended up in the Butlers dead as a door nail ! Lovely standard of fit out in there but looked like it was managed by Norman Bates and his mum. Give me busy/noisy any day !

I was in there about 8.00, just for one after being in the Railway for a couple of hours. They are much busier under this management but it's mostly before 8.
The Butlers Arms has had a succession of useless tenants since it was refurbished but as a pub / eaterie it's got just about everything. This current chap is trying hard and having some success. Problem is it takes a long time to gain a good reputation and 5 minutes to lose it.

I know a guy who goes into the Hoghton Arms late on (10pm+) so he can get the left over cooked chickens for nowt and take them home to his family for tea, if he did not drink like a fish he could afford his own.

Typical Blackburn cheapskate.
