I will be at the Blue Bell Inn on Friday. It is run by an ex copper and his younger boyfriend.

This Friday they have a cross dressing and ‘Gender Bender’ fundraising night for MacMillan Nurses. I am going as myself but with a bit more colourful lipstick than usual.

It is a long read (1,000+ pages). However it is compelling and difficult to put down. It is about the ‘desk killers’ whose actions have resulted in many millions of brutal deaths rather than them doing the actual physical killings.

A must read for anyone who is interested in history and the backgrounds of these desk killers, the why rather than the what.

The author is a bit of a lefty but he is someone of principles and sound arguments.

I really believe looking inward and re-evaluating our lives will do us all good in the long run ...... at least those that don't get it! The term 'busy fools' might not apply quite so much.

I agree to a point. My life is my family. But all my Sports are my hobby. When there is none of that at all it will make me bored. Maybe would of been more of a good thing if i had less of it rather than none at all.
As for the thread.....Finished exercising and bored.

Never bored, always something to learn whether it’s from books or the Internet. I’ve also got a couple of newish guitars to get acquainted with but haven’t had the time so far. I must say I’ve become a voracious reader since I retired.

So, listening to The Modern Jazz Quartet with Laurindo Almeida "Concierto de Aranjuez" and enjoying a stubbie of James Squire's Hop Thief (I've mentioned this on before).
