I rem a similar episode in the Clog and Billycock about 40 years ago (kinell!). Myself an about 2/3 friends and their better halves were standing chatting at a corner of the bar and a bunch of hooray Henry's gathered behind me. Over the course of the next 15 minutes they gradually pushed me closer to the bar. When it became completely obvious what they were up to and impossible for me to ignore any longer the pin came out, I put my pint down, put both hands on the bar and shoved backwards with all my might. A scattering of the Henry's and Henrietta's ensued with lots of drinks spilled but no one challenged or thumped me and no one encroached again. It worked great but being short of numbers I might have had to think again if they had looked like they were hard bastards

No I mean like you've both got your back to each other but they start rocking back on their heels, or every time they shift their feet they go backward slightly, so they're basically rubbing asses. Its absolutely bizarre and like I said slight chance they're trying some manly occupation of the maximum bar area, but more likely to me is they're just retarded.

Haha yeah thats an option I guess! Like you said it usually seems to be a group of man-apes who look pretty handy so not the easiest thing to attempt.

Temporary traffic lights. Also Road closures which almost never used to happen in the past are commonplace now! Worst of all is discovering that no one is even working on the roadworks! Blackburn and surrounding areas are bloody full of them at present.

I don’t know how much truth there is in this but when I was working I was told that if you want to close a road in Hyndburn or put temp lights up you have to apply well in advance And may get refused. Blackburn however just tell the utility company to just get on with it. I suppose comparing the number of temp lights in each area would show whether there is any truth in this.

Supermarket dents and scratches piss me off too! Some people dont care for their cars and don't respect that other people do. That silly cow should lease her next car and when it goes back and she gets a bill from the leasing company for bodywork damage she'll perhaps be more careful when getting out of her own car in future.... or go on a diet!!!
