The table above lists the Rovers finishing positions in the league pyramid since the abolition of the minimum wage. It's split into 3 era's, the pre Walker years, the J Walker years and the Venky's era.
I'll let people make their own minds up but I think it's quite obvious which era is "the odd one out". This is no attempt by me to undermine the club or the good and sensible portion of our fanbase, it's just another attempted nudge to try and get some of our fan's heads out the clouds and face the reality of what club we really are and maybe see the difficulties faced by the people in charge.
My dad's old stories of Ewood being packed with 50000 fans in the 60's is obviously a myth, maybe for a big cup tie, but other than that our attendances were no different than they are today.
Bottom line is, if fans continue to judge our club on the success in the Walker years, then this downer feeling there is about the place will never go away, regardless of who's in charge.
