I had some of those Dave. I think we called them ‘loons’.

They started life as bell bottoms before becoming 'flares' the morphing into 'a lines' and loons. I seem to recall that loons were similar cut but not necessarily made from denim.

Correct nor a direct bus route to Darwen Circus. Reckon that picture was taken outside the old supporters club shop thingy which is now Boots at Ewood.

Eeee, luke at t'flat caps.
Perhaps a little before my time, that photo, but I do remember getting the bus down to Ewood.
On reflection the style of busses has a 60's look about them

I used to get those buses every match. There were return buses after full time too but as it was all downhill not a lot caught them.
