I disagree as I have said previously. When we go 0-1 up away from home and the opposition pushes us back and takes a 5 -10 yard step up the pitch Armstrong should be moved to CF to run the channels. That's when quick breaks work best and both DG and Dack are too slow for that job. Yesterday Armstrong was moved to CF when we were already losing.
and he did nothing and to my knowledge never has. He is only dangerous when he has the beating of the full back on the left wing. He does nothing through the middle.

Doesn't do much supporting the full back either. And there in lies our biggest problem, with the exception of Reed and Bennett all our wide midfielders seem to expect Evans and Smallwood to do ALL the work

Read Neal's account of Nidge and Macky's encounter with Mowbray after the game in the Wigan thread on BRFCS. Priceless.

Just a thought but TM would have been told by now how much money is available in Jan for the window, so is he now thinking do I really want to be here? Can I do what I need to with the cash I have? If no one buys dack what will I do with no cash?...... May go some way to him blowing smoke up bens ass as he will be the new talisman after Jan and why some of the selections are strange as he is seeing what he can do with what he has! Its only a thought but something has changed in the last two weeks.

Sorry but when was the last game you went 2 ?????
So you can only have a say I you have been to a game in the last week or two........ That's a bit harsh, I've never been to the houses of parliament so can I not have a Say on the way the country is run?

I've heard that argument before but as far as I am concerned if you haven't seen a game either at the ground or on screen it's not easy to comment on the way it was played.

If someone offered mid table in championship tjis time last year you would of taken it ?
I predicted relegation battle without decent financial backing, which Mowbray hasn't had. So to be honest was astonished at the start we've had.

Starting to feel a sinking feeling now though, the most worrying thing about the last 2 games is our woeful defending. A team that can't defend can't survive, look at Fulham this season.

The defending in the last 2 games has indeed been woeful but much of it is down to the complete lack of creativity. The standard long ball, and statistically we use the long ball more than anybody else in our league, comes straight back at the overworked defence who find it hard to cope. The last two matches have however highlighted the need for two new full backs as most of the goals against come from the wings.

I think he has had decent backing. Certainly better than then funding allowed to Wigan and rotherham. None of our players appears to have been offered better terms anywhere else and we've had quite a few good incoming players, not to mention the fees for Armstrong and Brereton. Top of that we had 4m turned down for Freeman by QPR and failed bids for Charlton's Bauer and some american whose name I've forgotten.
