I'm sure they would have approved of the first EU referendum vote........in 1975.

It's the 2nd referendum, in 2016, the one that should never have taken place, which probably irks them.

Looking forward to the best of 3 after Jeremy is installed in No 10.
Words fail me.....

Labour voters who can see how the town has been devastated by the decline in industry/commerce and unlimited immigration but who can never go against their fathers and grandfathers wishes by voting Conservative.

'.
Blackburn's economy like many others was devastated by the Tory-led war against the working class and the north of England in the 1980s.

People don't forget.

That's why sensible folk don't vote Tory round here.

Well the vast majority in your neck of the woods do vote Tory!

Selective memory or what? King Cotton had disappeared by the end of the 60's and the communist led unions damaged as much of our industry as they could through the 70's simply for political purposes. Thatcher was left to defeat the commies and sweep up the fall out from the wars with the various Unions.

Of course, donations are legal, so it is perfectly fine to allow tax evading oligarchs to reside in London to bribe the Tory party with millions so that they are allowed to continue to reside in London.

Another reason, if any were needed, for not voting the Tories.
Poor old Jeremy if that's the case, sounds like they've given him nowt...... and especially after everything he's done for them for the past 40 years too! :D

To be fair to Dianne she hasn’t aged all that well. She wasn’t bad looking in her younger days and looking at younger pictures of Crackpot Corbyn , I’d argue he was batting well out of his league !

It's funny how women age once they hit that menopause wall isn't it? We tend to grow old more gracefully. Or is it more a case of this............

I'd say Sturgeon seems more anti Tory than anything.
I agree that Sturgeon is very anti - Tory , but like all rabid nationalists she’ll work up her supporters in any way she can to further the cause . She provokes anti- Englishness and her activists don’t need much encouragement

That second picture reminds me of the NF marches in the 1970s .

Leader of the SNP in Westminster Ian Blackford on Andrew Marr show today complaining about democracy being ignored before going on to decry the two recent referendum results! Worse still I don't recall Andrew Marr picking him up on his suggestions either.
23 mins... https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m000bj08/the-andrew-marr-show-17112019

I think we can probably assume that Marr is a closet Remainer and wants Independence for Scotland now that he's outgrown Maoism.

Jeffrey Archer, speaking to the Sunday Telegraph last year, said: "I was travelling through the north west recently, where i was giving a speech at a school, and as I looked out of the window it did make me think I'd vote for Corbyn if I lived up here".

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...-archer-vote-north-west-england-a8540231.html

The right-wing parties have decades and decades of experience of conning the less well-off and less well educated to vote against their own interests. They dress it up as "One-Nation" Toryism.

I guess some people are easily fooled
