So I presume you will already be knocking on doors around the Ribble Valley to push your 'Vote Corbyn' message?

*Incidentally the outcome of this election has become more unpredictable than the fictional one in Archer's 'First among equals'. Even he couldn't make this up!

Is this what the UK has come to?

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-11-18/abuse-of-female-mps-in-british-politics-on-the-rise/11684142

All this has come about (IMO) since the 2016 referendum and the inability for some to accept an outcome.
Does this mean, if there's a "close" election, similar events will take place?
What next? Anarchy?
For years we've had a growing number of anarchists who remain dormant until they get the call to raise a stink in numbers dave. 'Rent a mob' started during the Miners strike, continued most notably with the Broadmoor Farm riot in Tottenham, the Poll Tax riots and other pre-determined, organised riots through the Race Riots of 2001, the London riot of summer 2011 etc etc.
It's a malaise intent on political mischief that is well organised, well supported and difficult to eradicate in a democracy influenced strongly by that Civil Liberties and Human rights nonsense.

The middle class lefty pseudo intellectuals seem to be in meltdown at the moment. The polls aren’t going their way and it seems the ‘working class ‘ aren’t on message . Why aren’t they on message they patronisingly complain ?

John Gray explains to the virtue signallers , who choose to live in the Tory leafy suburbs but spout socialist ideology , why the working classes are deserting Labour and Crackpot Corbyn

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7693435/JOHN-GRAY-working-class-deserting-Labour.html

However 3 weeks is a long time in politics so the loony left shouldn’t lose faith . There might be enough indoctrinated spotty faced students and self serving public sector employees who’ll be daft enough to vote for the likes of Corbyn , Nugee , Abbott et al

The left wing chattering classes in the north ? Well I guess they’ll be voting Lib Dem , as Momentum Labour doesn’t stand a chance in the areas they choose to live in , usually miles from those black and brown immigrants they ‘ sort of welcome ‘ !

Leader of the SNP in Westminster Ian Blackford on Andrew Marr show today complaining about democracy being ignored before going on to decry the two recent referendum results! Worse still I don't recall Andrew Marr picking him up on his suggestions either.
23 mins... https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m000bj08/the-andrew-marr-show-17112019

I think we can probably assume that Marr is a closet Remainer and wants Independence for Scotland now that he's outgrown Maoism.
The SNP are given a far too easy ride by the left wing televised media . Nationalism tends to create division and divisiveness

Scottish nationalism is no different and has a perturbing history .

Jeffrey Archer, speaking to the Sunday Telegraph last year, said: "I was travelling through the north west recently, where i was giving a speech at a school, and as I looked out of the window it did make me think I'd vote for Corbyn if I lived up here".

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...-archer-vote-north-west-england-a8540231.html

The right-wing parties have decades and decades of experience of conning the less well-off and less well educated to vote against their own interests. They dress it up as "One-Nation" Toryism.

I guess some people are easily fooled
Yep, especially those who think Corbyn will be in 10 Downing Street on 13th December

The EU referendum and its focus on immigration unleashed a nasty, narrow-minded underbelly in British society that saw the poll as a vindication of their racist, intolerant views.

The murder of Jo Cox was the worst example but numerous prominent Remain-supporting MPs, such as Rudd and Soubry, have been harangued and abused by this vile, Brexit- supporting, Tory-voting, English nationalist minority.

This isn't the "inability of some to accept an outcome" because parliament reflects the country in being split down the middle.

A defeat for Alexander de Pfeffel or a hung parliament could well see the right wing scum out on the streets in protest.

The basis of Westminster style democracy is accepting a result and working through legitimate means to change the result.
All I see on tv is one side getting bitter about loosing the referendum and causing mayhem in the ensuing months. Is it any wonder that those opposing them got pissed off and retaliated?
I wonder how much the EU has to do with this, as they have much to lose, and need to show to those other nations how difficult it is to leave.
What concerns me most, is the way many MP's have ignored the preference of their constituents. When situations like that happen, they should resign

There have been lots of occasions where the country has been "split down the middle" but the turmoil hasn't been as widespread as this.
In this case, I'd be worried about what you vote for, as any result could cause huge problems.

Respect for those people who stand for Parliament is needed, and it starts with less online attempts at ridicule. There's been a lot of that.

If they put themselves up to exalted positions above the electorate and they slip up then the public will always be there to hold their feet to the fire dave. Our MP consistently votes in a manner which doesn't represent or reflect the wishes of the majority of her voters.

As for the first bit that is precisely why they are ridiculed and in many cases reviled. Putting Party politics before the wishes of the people who voted for them as their elected representative makes them a hated species.

The squealers lose emphatically in their bid to join the big boys' game on ITV :laughing:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/election-2019-50463816
They’re not missing much to be honest . The numbers that watch these debates are negligible in comparison to the numbers who vote . They’re just a media circus .

Bercow is featuring on Sky’s election night programme - that should boost the ratings for BBC and ITV .

The nasty, racist, anti-Semitic, Islamophobic, homophobic face of the Conservative party

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-north-east-orkney-shetland-50468770

You really should read the articles before putting them up as evidence.

This from the article:

"spokesman for the Scottish Conservatives said: "The comments contained in these blogs are unacceptable and Mr Houghton has been suspended as a member of the Scottish Conservative party as a result.

"The party has also withdrawn its support for his candidacy in Aberdeen North.

"The Scottish Conservatives deplore all forms of Islamophobia, homophobia and anti-Semitism."

It comes just a week Labour candidate Kate Ramsden quit in Aberdeenshire following a row over anti-Semitism.

She stood down in the Gordon constituency after the Jewish Chronicle highlighted a blog in which she compared Israel to an abused child who becomes an abusive adult.

Another Scottish Labour candidate, Frances Hoole, was also been dropped over a social media post attacking her SNP opponent."

Again, did you read the article? He makes it clear that it's his personal opinion, and I'd bet there's a lot of folk who live on that estate would agree with him.

Me with Houghton ... although not the holocaust bit.

Must say I'd welcome a rapid spread of the homosexuality 'virus'. It's about the only way to cut the population of vermin that the human race has become and in doing so save the planet. Mankind has tried and failed with warfare (political and religious) and modern contraception, God has tried too with the Black Death, Aids and Ebola so maybe now it's Nature's way in providing mass homosexuality to come to the rescue of Planet Earth. I must say there does appear to be ever growing numbers these days. Something must be causing it.

As far as our swelling army of work shy dollopers, the 3rd / 4th generation dolies etc, something does need to be done to make these people contribute to the rest of society. Nobody likes a free loader and why we have to import huge numbers of eastern europeans for agricultural work when we have huge numbers sat on their arses consuming large quantities of Stella, roll up fags and Iceland ready meals is disgraceful. These people are just wasting their lives. They should be helping with food production not scavenging from food banks. Cold showers and tents is ridiculous, good honest work should be rewarded in order to become an incentive and not perceived as a punishment.
Anyway this idea John came from a Labourite, who only left the Labour Party because of Momentum.

Whilst old Benjy is busily perusing the form tables and the latest betting for Saturday's match at Ewood whilst attempting at the same time to find Ewood Park on a map, please can someone explain why politicians of all persuasions, but especially the Labour party have turned nurses into a special case over the rest of society? Take away base electioneering promises and it's illogical, unfathomable and is turning nurses into modern day sacred cows.

Nurses haven't particularly been denied pay increases over the rest of society over the past 10 years have they?

Will a 5% pay increase improve nurses performance? Of course it won't. Shouldn't we be asking why Labour think it will?

Expecting the nation (and particularly the Private sector) to pay for all those daft Labour promises will no doubt see us all in the council houses that they intend but can't afford to build. We've had to tighten our belts since Labour's last disastrous period in charge of our economy so surely the lessons learned under Gordon Brown can't have been forgotten already?

Giving away someone else's money has become a classic feature of our brand of democracy.

Labour’s fantasy manifesto of freebies and giveaways proves the old but ever so relevant saying “ Socialism is great until you run out of other people’s money .

If the anti - Semitic Momentum Labour does manage to form a minority government with the rabid Scottish Nationalists what will happen ? As night follows day the country ends up bankrupt with increasing unemployment , as it always does after a spend and tax Labour administration.

Who will then suffer ? It certainly won’t be the left wing virtue signallers and pseudo intelligentsia . They’ll bunker down in the leafy Conservative suburbs safe in the knowledge their public sector jobs and/or their final salary pensions will protect them from the economic pain that follows .

Your point about the NHS . The staff including nurses have had pay increases over the last 10 years and most, if not all , get ‘ increments ‘ on top of that . Add to that the tax payer funded pensions that most working folk in the private sector could only dream of and any one with an ounce of sense will accept that they’re paid well enough to do the job .

How many years have the " Loony Left " of the 1970s waited for what they think is a gullible enough generation to get away with this nonsense ? Old and grey political dinosaurs like Corbyn and McDonald believe their day has finally come .
