Reading are an awful team and we've given em 3 points. Not through lack of effort, not through lack of application but because of a bloody stubborn manager!!!! We'd have walked this with D&G and rothwell on from the start.

Mowbray should apologise to alll the travelling fans who have wasted their money watching a team with no hope and no attack from the off!
If Mowbray wants to lose the respect of the fans and his players then he's going he right way about it! No fan or player likes losing just because the manager wants to play bloody tinkerman. Let's be honest about this Rothwell looked like a world beater compared to Brereton yet he can't get a start whilst TM frequently gives Brereton a start. What signal does blatant favouritism send out to the entire squad?

I have defended TM all season because overall his selections have worked (points wise) but tonight really has mystified me.
As you say Gord if Dack and Graham had started we would have won this at a canter.

I think TM has given up on this season,we ain,t going up and we ain,t going down.Im not suprised dack and graham were on the bench they were woeful sat, from a little 1inch by 4 inch stream i saw Rovers having most off the play,SODS law they score with there 1st shot, and apart from Rodwell GIVING THE GUY IN THE MASK,all the time in the world he scored a decent goal.
If Reed is going back to Soton to try and convince there manager he is worth a place in his team we might as well send him back now, give his place to someone who will be here next season.

So we all know that tony did the old NO RESPECT bit last night thinking he could walk over reading with the kids and old boys in our team, reading a team fighting to stay in the league hungry for every ball, even kicking the ball into a black hole twice at the end just to waste time...... And probably all because he is thinking about Sunday at home on sky!!! Well lets hope that doesn't bite you on the ass, we all know we are doing better than the teams we came up with and better than most of the ones that came down but the second season is the hardest and we may struggle to keep one or two player, come on rovers

Lots of good power play and territory last night (most of the opening 45 played in Readings half) but with the exception of Armstrong and Mulgrew from set pieces there are no goals in the team that started the match. It's not rocket science is it?

I've always been an advocate of "Play your best side" and I like many were mystified by the omission of Dack and Graham, but it transpires Dack is carrying an injury, fair enough, but he should have started with Graham. On the flip side of that Brereton needs game time, he's seen as the natural replacement for Graham, so I understand the managers thinking but feel for the fans that travelled.

It was a game that lacked quality and as soon as the commentator said Reading had only won 5 games all season the writing was on the wall for me! We dominated for large parts of the game without creating much, and got done by a very poor Reading team.

On the plus side every time I see Rodwell play I think we've got a real player in that lad, he just needs to keep his head down, he's quality for me. The pattern of play, build up play and way we knock things around shows we're making progress, but like I've been saying all season, we need experience at this level before we can look to challenge the Sheff Utds of this division.

Its all about next season and maybe the one after for me, I just hope Mowbray is given the time, and the moaners remember where we've come from, Rome wasn't built in a day.

No this is just the way I see last nights team choice not fact but I'm beginning to hear what TM is saying and doing as a sign, I think he knows no money in the summer and players on the way out will leave him with a first team of Raya, Bennett, Rodwell, Mulgrew (c), Bell, Smallwood, Evans, Travis, Conway, Brereton, Armstrong. With the others on the way out, so he now needs to see what the others can do. I really hope I'm wrong as next season worrys me but as I has said with the others that came up and down we are doing better than most

Right it seems to me that Tony Mowbray sees 3 points on Sunday against his old club as being worth more than 3 points v Reading! Football is littered with such incidents where weakened teams are played and the club ends up winning neither.

It's all bull anyway because being completely honest if we are to rest G&D I'd rather see Nuttall up top than Brereton and much MUCH rather see Rothwell before either of them up with Armstrong! If we are to play a young wannabee then how about Butterworth? He's earning good reviews in the U23's and lest be honest Brereton's performances to date are embarrassing himself, his teamates, the manager, the owners and the entire club! His performance last night was unbelievably bad to the point of being hilarious to a fan of any other club. Our neighbours supporters especially must be pissing themselves.
