Bob Ferris in the Likely Lads. Not a Shakespearian actor but he did makes us laugh. Rest in peace Rodney.

Never really watched it to be honest but thought there was more than 3 series

Shame about anybody passing away but tbh I never liked the Likely Lads much. It didn't reflect my generation and the humour was way to predictable, much like most of the 70's sitcoms. How Terry Scott ever made a living out of comedy I'll never understand. Best 70's sitcom imo was Fawlty Towers by a mile.

Likely Lads was exactly my generation and I definitely identified with it. I can still watch it today in B&W.

Porridge was really excellent, Rising Damp good but I think Fools and horses came later than the 70's.

Anything with Ronnie Barker in it was excellent.
