Ha! He is slow but he wasn't slow in sticking one in....... only on 3 mins! Time to light a cigar and see the match out.

According to the stats 'dale haven't registered a shot on target yet! I don't want to count any chickens but a win over Fleetwood last week (if we had played) would have seen us 5th.

Simple win but well done rovers. Rochdale were crap however they had a little push at the end which we panicked a bit. Anyway the keeper spilled it for a graham tap in.

Job done. Nice to relax for once at three nil.

Scunthorpe away on Tuesday could be a bit of a tester but it's encouraging to have a clean sheet away today with our second choice pair at centre defence. Gives Mowbray a choice of who to leave out if Mulgrew is fit for Tuesday.

Good effort, feet being found now although defence is shaky still and I wish Mowbray would dispense with trying to get the back 4 to play football amongst themselves and dawdle on the ball we WILL come unstuck doing that against better teams our players just aren't good enough and there is no need for it in this league.

Liverpool & Bowton stuffed as well, good day here :yum

He's basing that on Mulgrew being a third Division version of Beckenbaur and getting our full backs forward in attack. We do have a better squad on paper than most so passing it around makes some sense.

Honestly though your post sums up our fans doesn't it? Big Sam was hounded out by people who wanted us to pass it around and now you are grumbling cos we aren't hoofing it.

Well done Rovers and a clean sheet too . I'll celebrate this win and Jimmy's 500 test wickets with a few more pints than usual, in the city of deep fried Mars bars and Irn Bru . Belting night last night . Glasgow offers great pubs and bars with lots of live music .

Wot the hell is a rag pudding??
Just for you......it is very nice btw.:

Rag pudding (also known as Rag pie) is a savoury dish consisting of minced meat and onions wrapped in a suet pastry, which is then cooked in a cheesecloth.[1][2][3] The dish was invented during the 19th century in Oldham, a former mill town in Lancashire,[1] previously at the centre of England's cotton industry.[3] Rag pudding pre-dates ceramic basins and plastic boiling bags in cookery, and so the cotton or muslin rag cloths common in Oldham were used in the dish's preparation.[2] Rag pudding is similar in composition and preparation to steak and kidney pudding,[2] and may be purchased from traditional local butcher's shops in South East Lancashire.[1]

Mowbray:

"But I thought it was really really hard work, we had to dig in and dig deep.

"But what is pleasing is that you can compare this game to Southend on the opening day as a similar type of arena, a similar type of feel to the match, a game that we didn't really physically turn up. I thought that we physically turned up today and competed with a team that if you don't compete against you are going to lose.

"So that is the most pleasing aspect, it looks like the team are acclimatising to the league and getting used to what is required to win football matches.

"I'm also pleased for the supporters, I have to mention them, it was an amazing turnout.

"I've been to this place a few times either to watch other games or to bring a team here and I've never seen as much support for the away side, it was quite amazing."

Sorry to interrupt this captivating discussion on exotic cuisine but back to the match itself...

If the team can adapt so quickly to such an "arena" it shouldn't have been so much an issue at Southend. A pitch is a pitch whether narrow or not. I'm sure Ewood is probably one of the biggest pitches in this league but it didn't help v Doncaster did it? Anyway its always good to see strikers off the mark. No goal for Samuel but after his scoring run it was probably bound to end sooner rather than later.
