They are better in red.Wow what a young team. Birmingham played really well too. Good game.
I went ballistic at the tv seeing that! I thought vale did a schmozza esque shift when he came on.When your keeper gets man of the match you know how the game went.
Could have easily been 0,1 or 2 points from the last two games they have been that close, so great to get 6.
Though we will get found out if we play like that most games.
Still not liking this tippy tappy at the back so much. The most ridiculous of which was Dolan (at right back position) passing it straight to their player on 94 minutes FFS!
BBD is 100 percent working hard he just needs to think about how to expend his energy batteries better during a game.Totally agree with frwjd and Husky's comments above. That resilience from the defence when you're under the cosh for a sustained period is brilliant to see and we've done it twice in 2 games. Scott Wharton is really turning from a boy into a man at this level.
But as Husky says, we can't expect to keep winning games with the opposition winning on posession, territory and chances. But then personally I don't expect us to, its a mid-table side for me that is currently second, can't argue with that.
Also a special mention for Gallagher, I thought he was magnificent. His energy levels and physicality, whether it was running the channels, chasing a hopeful out-ball to ease the pressure, getting on the end of chances, or contributing defensively (cleared 3 corners). He's showing BBD up at the moment IMO who is still going at 75%.
Diwali. It’s called welcoming diversity. The drummers are great. Why are we playing Indian music?
I saw them welcome the kids off the Ewood Express. Lots of smiles all around. Well done Rovers for both the drummers and the kids coming to gamesDiwali. It’s called welcoming diversity. The drummers are great.
More one offs would help on a longer term growing of the base as per see the Oxford game. Why we don't or didn't today take up Diwali in the community and encourage a bit of a car park to Indian stalls of pre-match foods/street foods etc is beyond me. We should have done the same post covid for local businesses too.Attendance: 14,902 (2,230 away)
Creeping up but for a team equal top it was dire. The BBE were like a mortuary today.
Yes, the curry stall at the BBE ‘Fanzone’ is excellent but we need more: Thai; Leavers Pies; 3 Bees Brewery; pizza and even a Chai stall.More one offs would help on a longer term growing of the base as per see the Oxford game. Exactly would unite the town or help achieve it around the football.Yes, the curry stall at the BBE ‘Fanzone’ is excellent but we need more: Thai; Leavers Pies; 3 Bees Brewery; pizza and even a Chai stall.
There used to be a quite a few of them from just around the corner from the railway station in the days before everyone had a car. I used them every week but on the way back the queues were so long that it was quicker to walk down Darwen Street. I guess that when the days arrived when everybody had a car put an end to them.Never understood even in the PL pomp days why we've never had a shuttle bus on match days.
