This will be my first match back at Th'ewood since my enforced absence. I've got my ticket for the BBE, cleared my vocal chords and am looking forward to getting back into the swing!
As for the match, if I say it could go two ways it's sounds a bit obvious, but with an under performing team like Boro I feel it's even more accurate than most weeks in this league. As last season, they were well fancied to be challenging for promotion, but again like last year they've got off to a stinker. So will it be the start of a resurgence or will they sink deeper?
My gut feeling is that this will be a real toughy and I expect them to be well up for it, but I could also see a scenario where the Rovers score early and run away with it. As always, I'll let my heart rule my head when it comes the the Rovers and go for a 3-1 win but as always with us, I think the first goal will be very important.
It'll be interesting to see if Pears gets dropped after his poor game at Plymouth, up till then I think he'd done ok, but when you get fans on your back as a GK it can be the worst position on the pitch.
I expect a big following from Boro who are really well supported away from home and although I haven't done a count as yet, I'd expect a crowd of knocking on 16,000. Here's hoping it's a good day for my big return.
