The problem is that neither Rothwell or Elliott are doing much better than SG or BB at the moment. It was a short impact but not much more in the second half by the substitutes. No help from the ref, but the game was lost in the first half. SG and BB were ineffective out wide and the midfield was overrun.
\main concern now is Dack. A dismal end to the match.
Maybe Tony’s plan all along was for Sam and Ben to rough up the Brentford defence prior to the likes of Elliot come on in the second half. Cast doubt on their ability as much as you like but they are more of a physical presence. The problem is that neither Rothwell or Elliott are doing much better than SG or BB at the moment. Not what I saw Robin. Neither was it the opinion of the sky sports commentators and pundits. To us all the half time switch changed the whole match emphasis. The problem is that neither Rothwell or Elliott are doing much better than SG or BB at the moment. I expect much more from several players Gordon. Elliott we know he can perform consistently even though his form is a bit bad at the moment. However, Rothwell should do better with the talent he has. It might sound as a contradiction to say that you expect more from a player who never has performed consistently because he has not. In addition to this we have BB and SG and both of them have much less talent than the previous two. None of these players perform well over a long time period except Elliott and he won’t be with us next season. I’m frustrated as hell about this and I think this is the problem why we never will reach the playoffs with certain players even though we wish we would. Not what I saw Robin. I wasn't blaming SG or BB Robin. They get a lot of criticism, but shirking isn't generally one of them. The way we were set up meant that they were cut off from the midfield and Dolan. We were just pinging high balls towards Dolan with the inevitable result. Conceding a penalty 3 attackers on two defenders in the first 10 minutes is Sunday football stuff and we were lucky the Bees weren't out of sight before half time.. Mowbray added an extra body to midfield in Rothwell after the break, which allowed Dack to get into more dangerous positions. The changes helped, but more down to the tactical formation, if you ask me, than because of the replacements. The problem is that neither Rothwell or Elliott are doing much better than SG or BB at the moment.
