Rovers v Bristol City

On Saturday we welcome Bristol City to Ewood Park.
Sitting in 7th place, two points above us, City are on a horrendous run of form, with 3 defeats and 2 draws in their last 5 matches.
They preceded that run, however, with 5 wins out of 6, so let's hope they don't have a return to form on Saturday.

City have the ever-dangerous Nakhi Wells up front and we might also see a return to Ewood Park for fancy dan Kasey Palmer.

For Rovers, we see the welcome return of Darragh Lenihan after what seems like an eternity but was, in fact, just 2 games. At least Darragh has a clean slate card-wise now, so he should be an ever-present for the run-in.
What strike force ToMo will select is anybody's guess but please Tony, don't pick an unchanged midfield and forward line-up whatever you do.

Will this be the last match we can watch from the stands at Ewood for a while?
Don't forget to wash your hands!

It would be nice if we can have some hot water for the fans so we can wash our hands properly.

Score wise I would suggest a 2-0 to Rovers and Ben B testing positive for pretending to be a footballer.

A little misleading when one considers the strength of the teams they have faced. Their fixtures threw up a corker of a month. Last 6 teams they've faced consisted of all 3 clubs at the top of the table plus in form Millwall in 8th place. Those matches saw defeats by Leeds, WBA and Huddersfield away with two draws against Millwall and Fulham and a solitary 3-2 win 6 matches ago against Derby at Ashton Gate.
Their actual away record shows them 5th in the form table for away matches! I think we might underestimate them at our peril.

All EFL fixtures postponed until 3rd April at least

Edit: duplicate post.
Since I'm here, I'll go 1-1.
Warm day, silent ground, both sets of players knackered after supping too many cans of Sainsbury's ale during lockdown.

Don’t see the point of playing professional football in an empty stadium . It’s going to be a strange end to the season .

Famous Blue and White Halves 2

Bristol City 0

Up the Rovers .

Win 2-0
get in the top 6, stay there, win the play off and, there you are, utopia, the "never never" land.
Solution in one sentence.

But, we are the Rovers.......

The Never Never land of annual relegation battles and wealth v a reasonably competitive spectacle every other week and constant struggles to pay the bills. :poop: Is supporting anybody but a top 6 club worth our time and effort?

Question for all you out there, what Lineup do you pick for Saturday? Mine is Walton, Nyambe, Lenihan, Tosin, Downing, Travis, Johnson, Holtby, Rothwell, Armstrong, Gallagher. With Brereton to come on with his pace against tired legs as they haven’t played for months. What’s your thoughts?
