Fallen for the pre-season euphoria too many times only to turn up to watch a lethargic Rovers wilt in the heat of the August summer and under the spotlight of the first match of the season.

Haven't we all? Especially after a good set of results in the close season warm up matches. I've a feeling that it will be 1-1 except that David's rather gloomy post (if you are a Charlton supporter) on the previous page has given me a little optimism.
I'll go 3-1 but I reserve the right to edit this once I have seen the team sheet.

Struggling to stay tight lipped about rothwells absence. I'll keep my council for the time being. The only reason for Downing's inclusion imo is for his set piece deliveries. But that's a little nonsensical with Charlie on the pitch.

Ht.... rovers need to awake from their stupor and realise that the season has started! As I feared and posted Thursday on this thread playing a newly promoted team has resulted in a distinct lack of urgency by the players.
The only good thing is that it's only HT. I've seen these type of fixtures lost in the last 10 minutes in the past.
