Pears 7
Had nothing to do. Did the basics well. Pleased to see him get a clean sheet. Another one next weekend, please.
Brittain 8
Early on, I felt he was a little frustrating by not beating his man with an easy cross, and getting caught out of position on the counter-attack. He quickly grew into the game well and provided a threat down their flank. One of his better games.
Carter 7
Not bad. Think it's his second game back, but perhaps better at the Tomasson style of football (getting forward and attacking) than defending. Played well when Coventry went down to ten men and he was able to venture forward to provide support.
McFadzean 9
Man of the Match. We've missed him at the back instead of the unfortunate, yet slightly hapless, Wharton. An absolute leader and a rock that we must keep in the starting XI against Leicester City.
Hyam 7
OK. Can't really recall much that he had to do, and so didn't put a foot wrong.
Pickering 7
Solid enough, defensively, but offensively is a bit out of sorts on the wing, despite putting a good cross or two in. He's been here for a few years, and he's an average Championship left-back.
Tronstad 8
Much-improved since the last game. Fought hard and worked hard, and invariably won the ball when it was in contention. Did the simple passing correctly. We get points when he plays well.
Rankin-Costello 6
I felt he didn't really get into the game. A couple of passes went awry, although he does add a little bit of bite in midfield that, say, Buckley doesn't.
Dolan 7
Unlucky not to score when hitting the post in the second-half. He typically got the ball stuck under his feet too many times, including when he hit the post when we had men forward to play through to. Needs better composure in the forward areas, but gave his all as always.
Szmodics 6
One of his poorer games, but I think he must be exhausted. Missed a sitter in the first-half. Took a few shots on for his golden boot campaign when I felt he should have squared it or passed it for a better opportunity. Still gave 100% as he does every game.
Gallagher 7
Has Jekyll and Hyde moments, as usual, but felt this was one of his better games of late. Sometimes I think his mind is elsewhere and away from the club. But other times, he generally won his headers, played a nice ball or two through, and wasn't afraid to shoot when he had the opportunity. Went close with a header in the second-half, but it wasn't to be. Generally, a little bit of quality was lacking.
As for the subs...
Ayari 8
Made a big difference after Coventry went down to ten men and took the game by the scruff of the neck for us. Went close twice with shot just a yard or two on the wrong side of the posts. I would like to see him start against Leicester City, possibly in place of Rankin-Costello.
Chrisene 6
Thought he was solid, but unspectacular. For a young left-back, I'd be looking for more guile and confidence when going forward, which was lacking.
Moran 6
Didn't really notice him but should have put the headed corner away. The closest he's come to a goal for a while, which is a travesty given why we bring his type into the club at expense.
Overall, we should have won this. 30 shots with 8 on target, versus Coventry's 6 shots with one on target. Coventry's season is over, but they'll be happier with the result based on proceedings than we will. We were looking to put the season to bed with a win, but we couldn't do it.
On a positive side, I felt this was a game we could have easily lost. Maybe a point isn't much good to us, but I think the performance was decent, and hopefully we can go to Leicester City with a bit of confidence and hope they're already on the flood beach in Dubai.
