2024 has not yet been kind to Rovers. December 2023 was bad enough and now the pressure is on JDT to get his players to deliver* on the pitch, GB to deliver in the transfer window, and SW and the Venkoids to stump up some cash - whoops I just remembered they can’t !!

This has rapidly become a season to forget with some of the poorest performances I have witnessed in a long time. Sadly I wasted money on the away game at Huddersfield less the a month ago; Huddersfield utilised the wings and put in a lot of first time crosses - we were like rabbits caught in the headlights with our wee bunnykins in goal flapping round like a parrot on heat.

I cannot even bring myself to make one flippant remark about the game this Saturday. I have little motivation, even less confidence and I feel like the strength I once had has been sucked out by the zombies on the pitch and in the dugout.

This has all the hallmarks of a 2-0 defeat and that is my brave prediction. Rovers will start like a steam train and then get hit with a sucker punch after Leo throws the ball to the opposition. Never mind we will have approximately 70% possession and the highest X G spot ratings in the Championship.

Really hard to call this one. We were so easily undone by them not long ago, and nothing suggests we've improved in defence. But we do need a win.

We are a young fair weather team. Like most young teams, in fact like a lot if teams, winter is men from boys time!
We have played some of the best football I have ever witnessed at Ewood at times this season, we have torn teams to shreds, and, if we could have converted our chances [again an experience thing) we would be in the play off slots.
The doom on here is worse than the Tony Mowbrey death spiral days.
If we win 3 of the next 4 ( perfectly possible!) We will be back knocking on the door
If we struggle ...we still have a team capable of staying in this league - which is an achievement considering our overall predicament
Again!!! It comes down to PS5 football expectations by some

Confident being the key word
We have players out of form and a very thin squad - Hyam is a classic example - our most consistant player last year - player of the season.....and now......a donkey?....... Nah,just struggling with form and getting over an injury which plays havoc mentally (see JRC)

Quite a lot of pessimism on here including myself. I am just praying for a decent display, 3 points and a clean sheet. I don’t think that is lot to ask for 🫣

Small wonder after the dreadful (in fact DREADFUL in capitals) display / capitulation last week at West Brom. If we have a similar display today it will prove to me that JDT has lost the dressing room and will have to go asap.

Elliott Jackson suggests a back three of Carter, Hyam, and Pickering. I'll be interested to see how Chrisene gets on. It sounds like he'll pose a good attacking threat down the left.
