The referee killed that game. I was confident that we would go on and win even after we gifted (Morton) Boro an equaliser.

We tried hard after the sending off but still Gallagher was offside time and time again. Gallagher and BBD showed again tonight they are not Premier League quality.

A big stand out for JRC who was excellent. However we had too many poor players such as Gally, BBD, Dack and Ayala. Dack needs getting off the payroll asap and Buckley needs a kick up the arse for his petulant behaviour although it only deserved a yellow his actions gave the referee the excuse to red card him.

I wonder what tripe JDT will spout tonight?

I have no idea what the gate was but a hell of a lot of ST holders around me did not bother turning up again tonight. At present I am 50:50 about a ST next season for the first time in many many years (bar 2 seasons of Steve K**n).

Buckley was stupid, but there is nothing in IFAB Law 12 that makes what he did a sending off offence. The closest would be violent conduct, but that requires the use of "excessive force or brutality when not challenging for the ball". Excessive force is defined as "when a player exceeds the necessary use of force AND endangers an opponent". I think you'd find it difficult to argue that McGee was in any imminent danger!
