I think opposing Manager's will have viewed the PNE match and the Barnsley match with quite some interest. Defend from the front and the Rovers passing game is disrupted. Allow the rover's defence and midfield time and space to play a bit and prepare to lose. :worried: We do need a plan B for such matches. I'd look at taking BB out, playing two midfield growlers and sticking Gally at point with Arma playing off him if the passing game isn't working.
Edit..... Just checked and it's the divisions leading scorers v the divisions meanest away defence. Not a good game for the Rovers to concede first I'd suggest.

Their defence has a pretty formidable record . If they play five at the back it could be a long night . I’ll go for another hard fought ( ugly ) win

The Famous Blue and White Halves 1

Millwall 0

Come on Rovers

1-1 based on the fact (as OOT points out) they do seem to be strong in defence!
And we have Kaminski

So Rowett would have us believe that he’s that frightened of us he will play five defenders? Not having it Gary!

Whilst we lost away to Millwall in July 2020 that was our first defeat in 9 games going back to 2013, that run of games came after that FA Cup defeat .............

There were 5 wins, 3 draws and the 1 away defeat.

Goals in every game apart from a 0-0 at Ewood.

We will win 2-1

We could do with Gally starting and with Dolan, Elliot and Chapman on the bench for an injection of invention should we need. Also I'm glad Davenport is fit again, we might need an extra defensive midfielder to handif Millwall attempt to do a Barnsley and press high to stop us building play from the back. Tactical options are always good to have available.
Again key men in breaking them down will likely be Rothwell, Armstrong and Holtby but Rowell will know that and endeavour to nullify their threat.
