Put all the players in a bag, tie the neck, shake it up then take a bloody big stick and thump the bag.... whichever player you hit deserves it!
MoM for me was Dolan and he only came in in the 57th minute!

Wrong team and wrong tactics. Passing around at the back was suicide. They aren't good enough for that!
Why was that clown Mola playing in place of Ayala. I never want to see Mola in a Rovers shirt again! He's useless
Why was Gally left on the bench? I saw nothing from Schmodics who took his place..
What has happened to Lewis Travis? He had a complete mare today. Every touch went to the opposition.

I'm still not happy with this new manager.

Well there's no sugar coating that. Even if you're in the camp that says Rovers are over achieving and have an average championship squad, on pure ability we shouldn't ever be losing that bad at home to Preston. We looked knackered and slow to the ball right from the start on a day when they should have come out with a rocket up their arses. All very strange.

We are desperately in need of some tough seasoned pro's to get the best out of the young talent otherwise this season is destined again to fizzle out into disappointment. Losing is one thing, sensible fans can accept that over a season in a tight league, you're going to have bad results and bad runs, but it's the manner of the losses that are very hard to defend even for a happy clapper like me.

Stayed to the end as I always do but even I couldn't bring myself to clap the players off and that just about sums up the performance. I'd usually say we'll get em next week but even I get the feeling we might be waiting a while yet for another win.

Very disappointing.

We are a one trick pony and as long as the opponents have high pressure we will have problems and it has shown the whole season. Time to re-think a bit JDT?

Back home now after a couple of post-match pints eat the Black Bull.

We need an apology after today and the Burnley game. We were dreadful, utterly pathetic. This season we have played some of the worst football I have seen in many years. JDT is like a rabbit in the headlamps; he needs to with sort it out or go.

Personally I would opt for go.

All good points Al. What HAS happened to Trav? Whatever it is the entire midfield appears disjointed. Sure Morton has class, but why have Travis and Buckley fallen so far back when partnered with him? Versus Burnley and PNE the midfield have been completely out fought, out classed and out numbered. OK so Mola is looking like a fish on a bicycle in the Championship and him replacing the injured Brittain so early left the midfield totally disjointed, they were lethargic, slow of thought, devoid of any ideas and overall played like total strangers. Yet again the defenders passing to and fro across the back for long spells gave PNE the opportunity to totally mark up the midfield and effectively meaning the only supply to the forwards was long hanging balls which gave our diminutive forwards little to no chance of doing anything constructive against the giants of Preston. Make no mistake PNE are a huge outfit.
I can guess the team talk for North End.... there wouldn't have been one! All Ryan Lowe had to do was sit his team down to watch constant re-runs of the Burnley match and appoint Ched Evans to replace Ashley Barnes as the bruiser up top. It's now official and no longer a secret..... BRFC are a soft touch who can easily be bullied and intimidated and the entire division will know it too. I don't know who are the 2 or 3 JDT will be looking to bring in in January but they need to be real hard bastards who won't be rolled over easily!

Kaminsky.... 5 Goaled OK but still persists in playing dangerous out balls to tightly marked teammates.

Brittain ..N/A Crocked early doors and a casualty of Preston's rough house, intimidatory tactics.

Carter... 6 Improved defensively after a shaky start and created our only goal with a great run.

Hyam.... 4 Not a good performance.

Wharton... 5 I could feel his anger at getting a hammering from a local rival for the second game in a row, pity more of the squad aren't from these parts.

Travis... 3 Dreadful performance. What has JDT done to our player?

Morton.. 5 Classy but lightweight 19 year old....... the qualifications that you want least against a team of rough house giants in a local derby.

Hedges.... 4 Not at the races today.

Szmodics.... 3 No influence on proceedings.

Brereton.... 3 Seemingly disinterested in standing up to PNE's intimidation.

Dack.... 4 Poor performance but still the strikers instincts to be Johnny in the right spot to score. Why he insists in dropping deep so often to play behind the midfield two and take the ball off the defenders I have no idea.

Subs
Mola... (Brittain 8 mins) 3 Awful showing. What is his position? He seems unaware of what to do and where to go (no wisecracks plz) on the pitch.

Dolan ... (Szmodics 57) 7 The one bright spark prepared to put a shift in and the only player in blue and white to cause the PNE defenders problems.

Gallagher... (BBD 58) 6 Put himself about as we needed someone to do but caught offside too often.

Manager JDT... obviously a slow learner after the lessons of Turf Moor. Sent out a woefully unprepared bunch of lightweights to do a man's job. Somehow he needs to study how Mowbray got such a great tune out of Travis and Buckley. Why Mowbray played the patient possession game / slow build up 3 years ago and why he then abandoned it in favour of a higher tempo passing / pressing game.

Ref Josh Smith 3 I've done a search and on only one occasion did I give this chap a half decent score. My most telling comment was that this chap should not be refereeing in the Championship and today's match was compelling evidence of this. Work this one out. possession 65:35 for the Rovers yet there were 12 fouls given against the Rovers and only 4 against PNE.🤔 Still it's a fact the pussyfoot Rovers would have lost with two refs in charge.

Are we over training or something? The players don't look happy on the pitch, There was no excuses to be made however for being second to every ball today, the lack of thought and organisation about the team was horrific to watch! Typified by Hyam for the second PNE goal. What on earth was he thinking?

Why didn't our players have the passion shown by Ledson of PNE? Who was head and shoulders MOTM along with the sub-human.

We do not have the players to play the ball around the back, nor is the pitch big enough at Ewood or most other grounds in this league. Teams know this and hunt us down like a pack of dogs, clear your bloody lines, we are our own worst enemy, every time on sky they bring up this passing from the back comment increases players values for the team. Quite frankly this isa load of nonsense, no point passing it if you can concede 3-4 a game at will FFS.

It's frustrating to see JDT and Remy sat there doing nothing! Not an ounce of passion is shown from this pair during a game. The same thing Mowbray was criticised for. QPR and Swansea we hunted in packs ourselves, a bit of zip about our passing but as the season has worn on has the coaching from Mowbray evaporated and this is the Longer terms effects of JDT and his staff? We look devoid of any creativity, any good touches, any quick two touch football. It's slow, ponderous and really boringly sideways at the moment and we look utterly clueless in the final third, I've never seen us play so many misplaced passes or making/chosing the wrong options.

The game suited PNE, we were slow never bothered about picking up the tempo getting some two touch going or even mixing up what I thought looked a confused style of play. We actually looked better just before the Dack goal going long with the ball.

Kaminski 5 - Let 4 in and I thought his kicking was appalling.
Carter 6 - Only Rovers player to put some effort in. Good run for the Dack goal and almost did the same in the first half but he had no one making a run or moving for him.
Hyam 3 - That second goal is unforgivable at this level.
S. Wharton 4 - People say he is a ball playing centre back? He's not he's dire with the ball.
Britts - FORCED OFF on 7 MINS.
Morton 4 - Lost the ball more times than he made successful passes today, dreadful delivery hanging those corners, it was like it was caught in the wind with every corner.
Travis 4 - Missing everywhere today, he could do with a spell out the team, having a few rough games.
Hedges 4 - Were was he even playing today?
Schmozza 3 - Was he even playing?
Dack 5 - Only player looking for an option at times he looked a defensive midfielder he was that deep, scored.
BBD - 4 Didn't bother providing any width today, didn't see much of the ball given the defence and midfield were terrible.

Subs:
Mola 1 - I'm not kidding, directly accountable for two of the goals, a terrible terrible performance what had be pining for the days of a deputy Bruno Berner. Even in the attacking third he looked clueless, definitely not a LB but gave a goal away at Burnley and WHU.
Dolan 5 - Effort wise cannot be faulted against his ex club but not a great deal of end product.
Gallagher 4 - Poor from him. Lack of movement not aided by the dog shit in midfield.

Ref 4 - Poor referring in the first half, I still don't know why Carter got booked either? Stopped the game for the duration over anything and everything.

Didn't see this before I typed mine but the similarities in what we've both typed are staggering.

To be fair Drog, Travis has taken several steps backwards since that injury he had (was it last season?) and he hasn’t looked the same since. Centre midfield needs urgent reinforcements in the coming transfer window.

Because he plays like a kid - He wants to make things happen and clearly gets frustrated (at his own lack of touch/impact)
He needs to be in the team but only if there can be a supply source / hold up player - When BBD goes - it might allow us to set up differently and play to his strengths - Poaching!
The way he just dropped off a yard to allow the header back is proper goal poaching in action.

Only one Tugay and I championed Sam morsy for long enough. He's probably too old for the championship now but he's just the type of midfielder we need, in fact we need 3 players with his attitude to the game.

just a thought..... did anyone count the players yesterday? Watching the sky video of the 'highlights' it looked like pne had sneaked 12 men on the pitch whilst we'd obviously had two sent off!!

In this 3-5-1-1 formation we have aren't wing backs supposed to get back and the team become a 5-4-1 when we are under pressure? I saw little sign of hedges and mola dropping back yesterday. Just why jdt is playing mola is beyond me, he looks completely lost in every position I've seen him play.
