In that case when the opponents are attacking Smallwood needs to take on the job of covering runs against the right back with Dack dropping into a deeper midfield role and getting goal side of the opposing central midfielders. Chapman then needs to find space across the line for our defence to find him when they get the ball with the intention of a one on one quick break. Bit over complicated which isn't good of course and would needs lots of practice at Brockhall but it would allow our most dangerous forward to stay at the sharp end.

Totally agree but not over complicate. Dack as the number 10 in the side drops into midfield any ways but Mowbray has commented before that the reason Chapman wasn't in the side earlier was his inability in his defensive duties so if Chapman plays then he needs a plan to compensate.
