I don't think it's gonna be 4-1 now, but we could still nick it.

The important thing is not to lose. All results are going for us down at the bottom 👍

What did szmodics injury look like? Serious or precautionary?

He walked off on his own so probably not serious but he signalled for a substitution as soon as he went down.

Side note: I think a Rovers "fan" shouted something at Szmodics when he went down. Szmodics appear to glare at him and have words back. Not a healthy situation but I can imagine certain vocal fans that shout something untoward eventually takes their toll.

Just player reviews here...

Pears
Decent save from Chair in the 11th minute. Rushed out well to prevent Armstrong in a one on one in the 51st minute. Good sweeper-keeping in general. Don't think he can be faulted for either of QPR's goals. Left far too exposed for both of them.

Chrisene
Should have scored in the fifth minute. Clearly one-footed. Headed away a very dangerous cross at the back post in the 47th minute. Made a great tackle to stop Willock on the break in the 51st minute. Should have closed down much quicker in the penalty box for QPR's second goal.

Wharton
Twice he made a great tackle in a 3 on 2 situation in the first half.

Hyam
Getting back into the groove but I felt he was quite weak (against Chair?) in the lead up to QPR's first goal.

Rankin-Costello
Struggled a bit against Chair in the first half but got forward well on several occasions.

Tronstad
Probably his poorest game in a Rovers shirt. The yellow card in the first half may have hindered him, but his passing was very poor.

Moran
Ineffective. We cannot carry players like him in this league.

Dolan
Worked hard and showed mature intelligence on the ball. Still coming back from injury, so still getting up to speed.

Sigurdsson
Had a decent chance to score early on, but seems to keep showing he's not the type of player you want down in the trenches with you. Just looks like he doesn't want to do the hard yards.

Szmodics
Barely got into the game. Worrying when he goes deep to collect the ball, but the lack of an Adam Wharton might be the problem we have to get around there.

Gallagher
Looks deflated but scored our goal.

As for the subs...

Markanday
His best showing for a long time. Got involved at both ends and tried to make things happen. Unfortunately, not enough desire from other forward players to get onto anything he provided.

Ayari
Immature player. Silly booking. Didn't do anything.

Telalovic
Came close to scoring an equaliser late on. I like how, for a big lad, he's prepared to turn and run at defences. It's just not happening for him but I think he'll be one to watch next season.

I wouldn't say that personally. We've a manager who was pissed off that we weakened rather than strengthened in the summer, and pissed off that we did the same in January. He's not much interest in hiding his annoyance, but is obviously valued by the upper management and the owners so they're willing to take the public criticism rather than sack him.

I don't know what JDT was told when he took over. He must be aware that the club revenue is miniscule, and the owners have therefore had to heavily subsidise even the squad we've got. Did Venkys promise to double down on their losses and give JDT further funds? If so then I can understand his disappointment, but I can also fully understand Venkys position.

Throwing money at Championship promotion is very far from a guarantee of it. Stoke have been doing exactly that since getting relegated in 2018, and have nothing but bottom half finishes to show for it.

Our football today was pathetic.
