Tomorrow sees the visit of Reading to Ewood Park in a game that Rovers need to win to prevent October turning into a Halloween nightmare.
Reading are two points above us and seem to be win-or-lose specialists with 6 wins, 6 defeats and just 1 draw thus far.
They also showed their ability to throw away a 2 goal lead in mid-week, so perhaps it will be a case of which team is most benevolent on the day?

John Swift is their main scorer with 8 goals to his name so far. Let's hope we don't give him a free run at the box to see if he's any good.

After Tuesday's team selection, I wouldn't like to predict what the starting eleven will be, although it looks fairly certain that Travis and Pickering won't be featuring. Diaz should be back to a starting berth and surely we need the energy of Dolan up front.

Here's hoping 5pm on Saturday sees us smiling and doesn't see us contemplating a spooky and scary return of 5 points from 21.

I will be at Ewood subject to recovering from a bout of flu that has seen me in bed from Sunday to Thursday.

I am looking forward to this game like a hole in the head. It is about as motivating as a book on the childhood memoirs of Jeremy Corbyn, growing up in his parents Manor House in the countryside; no doubt pulling the legs off Daddylonglegs because he thought they resembled the tentacles of capitalism.

That's Joe Biden in the background isn't it?

Like WB says this is a must win game, just to get the fans of the team and managers back. I hate stats like we have won 8 in 30 odd games, i can see the improvement in the team this year ,but we have to contend with the same old problems Tinker man at the helm and a defence that can't defend. If we had held on to the half time leads against Luton and Coventry this season would look so much better. We still have the problem of loan players ,to be honest if Clarkson was ours he would be back in the under 23s for the foreseeable.
We have to suck it up atm as Mowbray is going nowhere ,the lack off talks with Nyambe and Rothwell is criminal. I would love to know how much these two players want ,if the club come out and say there agents are asking for 25k a week and our limit is 15k fair enough that's life. One thing I would love the club to do is let them both rot on the touchline till the summer, make this known to them so they will want away in Jan and we get some recompense, it's the only way to force a outcome were the club will get some cash.
I would tell the players and there agents they have till 1st of December to sign a new contract or they can sit at home twiddling there thumbs. If we only get a million for both it will be worth it,if they want to sit it out to summer we lose but atm we have lost already.

4-3-3. Van Hecke on the bench and an attacking midfield of Trav, Rothwell and Buckley..

And a welcome return to Scott Dann.
