Rovers v Southampton: 6th April 2024

Here we go again. Another 6 pointer.

Both teams will desperately be seeking a win for very different reasons. We will also see the return of Ben ‘5 minutes effort’ Rothwell and of course red hot (not quite as hot as our Sammie) Adam Armstrong.

If Rovers sit back as they did when we played at Southampton we will get mullered. We lost that game 4-0 but with due respect it could easily have been 10-0.

Pickering is out for us after picking up a deadly splinter on his little finger whilst striking a match. The photograph of his operation is harrowing and requires a warning prior to viewing.

This is big game for Rovers and I will be as happy as Larry if we manage a draw. However I believe we will narrowly lose and predict a 4-0 win to those Southern Southampton softies.

Forecast 2 - 2 with Sammie and Adam bagging one each (Any extra points if I get that right?)
EDIT
The only thing in our favour is that Southampton have 14 points to play with to stay in the playoffs but are very unlikely to qualify for automatic promotion. They will not want to get any injuries.
