Rovers v WBA

The Baggies brought our unbeaten run to an end in the corresponding fixture last season. They were too strong for our lads on the day, so this will be a good yardstick for how far the likes of Buckley, Travis and Wharton (not playing that day) have progressed. They drew with another Premier League parachute paid outfit Watford the other week, so I'll go 1-1.

Don’t forget tomorrow to keep an eye open for towels placed near the touchline by the Albion coaching staff. Don’t encroach on the playing area as that’s a criminal offence but if you happen to be able to reach them well then……..

Just under 11,500 home tickets sold at last count, so with an expected spurt on the day and a good following from West Brom it's looking like 16 to 17 thousand on tomorrow.

Hmmm I have to be careful not to be influenced by the demolition of Hartlepool by what was the rovers second string / u23's in the main. I need to think qpr and Swansea where we gleaned 6 points despite some scary moments in the first half in South Wales when we struggled to get out of our half at times. Whilst I am purring about the depth in talent of our squad (CH and a really prolific striker excepted) I think wba will be different gravy despite losing the services (I think) of their top two strikers.
Are we due a reality check in line with most clubs early in the season in this division?🤔

1-1

No S Wharton today, calf strain.
Conspiracy theory warning.............. I wonder if the Rovers are resigned to losing Phillips and are putting him in the shop window?

Not seen that.
Rovers say they are unaffected by water problems around the area
Speaking of water. I do think the EFL should reintroduce the water break in these exceptional temperatures.
