So, Saturday sees our first home league match of the new season - although none of us will be there to watch it
Wycombe are playing their first ever season in the Championship, so this will be their first ever Championship away match.
They lost their first match at home to Rotherham, unluckily it seems, to a 92nd minute goal so we will see how they respond.
Wycombe are managed by Blackburn lad Gareth Ainsworth, who cuts a bit of a rockstar figure with his snakeskin boots, open-necked shirts and long hair and we welcome him and his team to Ewood Park but hope they leave wi' nowt!

As to Rovers, we will certainly be without Travis for some time it seems and Ayala won't be playing so it's potentially another "lucky dip" team selection (or "unlucky dip" when referring to most of our strikeforce).
We really need a win from this match. From what I've seen so far, we have plenty of attacking intent but only one guy who can be relied on to put the ball in the net and at the other end it's the same old, same old. Without Travis I'm slightly worried.

If you want to watch the match live, you can buy an iFollow match pass for £10

2-0 to Rovers. We should get bonus points if we correctly predict a clean sheet for us🤥🤥

If BB scores I will crack open a nice bottle of malt whisky that I had been saving for a miracle.

Travis is a massive loss without a doubt but we have that many 'capable'midfielders we should be able to almost compensate for his absence without too much damage done to the system. Please please play Jack Vale Tony. He's young, he's green and perhaps a little lightweight BUT he is the best partner for Armstrong that we have available currently.

Should be an easy routine victory. Wycombe played out of their skins to get in this league and are favourites to go down.
If Brereton can't bag against this lot then he may as well get loaned out to Fleetwood or Bolton.
3-1 to Rovers.
Though i'll be rooting for the Blackburn lad to come here and engineer a point :yum. We all know he wants to be our manager and most sane people would take him over the miserable Middlsboro lover that lives in The North East.
Rock on!

:eek: This is the Rovers we are talking about! I've gone 4-1 for tactical reasons! In truth getting beaten wouldn't surprise me in the least
