Rum do this. I've just realised that despite being the first rovers player to hit 30 goals in a season since you know who 28 years ago we have no dedicated thread! Anyway he's attracted praise from the great man himself!

Just a thought but I can't recall Sam scoring with his head. Anybody correct me?

I strongly suspect Sammie will be playing his last game at Ewood this coming Saturday v Coventry. In the last few games he has looked absolute peed off his Rovers colleagues.

He has 3 years left on his contract. The big question is how will his transfer fee be reinvested.…..if at all 🤯

How much do you think we will get for him?

And how much do you think he's worth?

Obviously with this tard bucket of a club the 2 things are most likely going to be massively different.

Come on BB. You know it won't be reinvested

Yes it's irrelevant how much he's sold for as the money will be needed to keep the club running over the summer. The venkys aren't due back in court in India until August. What a shambles.

Given his advanced years (29 in September) £10m at the most. He looks so so fed up at Rovers.

Let's put a stop to the moaning. Jack said football is a business and the club must be run as one. English football is dog eat dog and has been increasingly so for 60 years now.
Also
Don't forget the team makes sammy's opportunities and is set up to suit his abilities.
Rem he cost a couple of million and there will be more like him out there. Lets hope we can find another like him... that is the key.

It’s not moaning, it is constructive criticism which is fully deserved of the shambles that now runs our club. The difference between an optimist and a pessimist is that the latter has experience.

It's not great but we are right back where we started from when Jack came in.... btw I did frequently say that would happen at the time. I'd no idea we were going to actually win the Prem within 5 years of course but I did recognise, and quite rightly that we needed a much larger support base than we had to become a major football club in the long term. With all our neighbours skint as church mice and plodding around Divs 3 and 4 Jack could have bought em for next to nowt and shut em down with a new ground on BAe or Walton summit where the MWays converged for a North West Utd. It didn't happen so there is little point in crying over spilt milk now is there when everyone could surely see what I saw for the future.

As my grandma would say, don’t talk wet.

Enjoy rattling around in the BBurn End in the 3rd Div next season or the season after then cos the Riverside will join the BB end upper and shut as no way can Blackburn sustain a top line club. BB won't be going in the third he says, neither will my usual rovers supporting mate, the Academy will of course lose it's Cat A status or more likely close. All our best players will leave asap and be replaced with semi pro plodders.
What do you think of my crystal ball now ODB?

This could quite possibly be correct in terms of several relegations, selling players, losing academy etc but should we just accept that short term? Let’s be honest a NW team wont happen any time soon if at all possible. Rangers and Celtic have talked about joining English league for 20+ years but never happens. We would start from the bottom, why would the other NW teams want to join, the ESL would have to happen amongst other obstacles - maybe NW west team could happen in 50 years however what about the present day as it’s all very gloomy. Personally it needs a new fresh start all over. Rovers is like a new coffee shop in town, when it first opens it’s the hype and place to be - then it gets bad and sales go down. It then gets a refurbishment and everyone’s back in.

I think it’s a very negative crystal ball. Anyway your Lancs Utd will never happen. Have you run your idea past a knob end or b***ley fan?

They would be as against it as us
And in Burnleys case especially - it would never happen.Say what you want about our six fingered neighbours - they are ALL claret and blue through and through
Walk around Accrington or Burnley and count their colours
Walk around Blackburn and surrounding areas and count Rovers colours
It isn't even close!!

Drog, the majority of Rovers supporters are not living in Blackburn or Darwen. They are the more affluent ones with common sense who moved out.

There are some really nice parts of Blackburn such as Pleasington and some decent parts of Darwen when you get to the extremities. However these are the exception and the majority live in a largely decaying town.

Sadly Rovers and those wallahs from the Community Trust have no idea about outreach or fan engagement. The only reason they won the EFL Fan Engagement award thingy was down to the supporters rather than the club.

And I would guess their excellent attempts to integrate the towns demographic.
Sadly that is a massive task and so far little actual progress seems to have been made for a paying customer/fan/supporter
So, in honesty we are not enticing the main local community
