When will there be an announcement ?
I missed 50 games and came back and it pisses me off when you miss games you are harming the club I was told , then when you do come back I'm a plastic glory hunter.
These statements make me question if it's worth a full season ticket next season to be honest, yes I missed the rovers , yes I missed the saturdays , yes I missed my mates and yes I missed the crack...but glory hunting plastics by super fans is gnarly .

I'm certainly uncertain about any certainty of getting a season ticket. The only hypocrites are those who have broken years of boycotts specifically for this game. Would they rather more people had stolen tickets (Doncaster) from those who attended away games regularly? I went to the Villa home game last season and deliberately missed the United game because it felt hypocritical. Attending this however does not feel hypocritical mainly with the Villa example.

Now you have people like Thendrog who isn't content with belittling the club every chance he gets. Even when Jack took over Thenp was there doing everything possible to undermine his ambitions. Fans are marketers in a sense without really knowing it but this is a terrible example. Abusing people just because you can't remember their faces what do you have a photographic memory anyway? Some people switch areas they might have hit double figures for home games this season. Some people who wouldn't normally want to pay JW upper prices would be such examples as well.

Won't even get started on the irony of his Lancashire United nonsense.

Don't be such a drama queen Abbey. You came back on the back of a half ST deal and through the year despite the clubs best efforts nothing has influenced crowd figures significantly. However last home match v Peterborough was watched by 11679. After promotion at Doncaster the next home match threatens an attendance of circa 24000. What do you call the extra 12000?
More importantly for the club as that attendance figure has doubled in a week do you believe that we should expect ST sales to double for next year too?

Don't you recall the Premier League Monday night in May 95 when 31000 blue and white Rovers fans packed into Ewood to see the team parade the Prem Trophy? You must rem.... it was the night that thousands of ST holders and fans of long standing couldn't get in! Where are all those folk now?

Actions will always speak louder than words Vinjay. Always.

To paraphrase JFK "Ask not what your club can do for you, ask what you can do for your club". Think on.

I'm not sure what all the fuss is about . The season tickets will come out in good time and I'm sure the prices will be really competitive for adults ,extremely attractive for young people and amazing value for families . Payment by direct debit will be on offer so the cost can be spread over the season on a monthly basis .

From memory I paid around £350 for mine last season , which was about £15/16 a game , might have been a bit more ( Al will probably know ) That's not much more than the cost of 3 pints of that excellent pale ale in the Legends Lounge :) To pay that and sit in a stadium like Ewood is superb value and we're lucky as Rovers fans to have such a great facility . We also get to watch the famous blue and white halves which is a bonus :p

As a Rovers supporter you take your chances , most seasons will be pretty average to poor , but some seasons , like this season , will be fantastic . I'm not sure that the timing of the season ticket sales will make much difference . If you're going to get one you will . There may be some waverers who are sitting on the fence , but I can't see a huge increase from this season no matter how the club market them.

I was told when at Ewood on Wednesday that the new ST prices will be announced in time for the Oxford game. The idea being that they have the announcement for a captive audience, even get a simple thing like that right in terms of timing is novel for Rovers, and welcome of course.

They only have about 24 hours left to get on with it o_Oo_O

Sorry Tugs but As I am an OAP I got my season ticket in JW Upper for about £190. You have to admit it's a gift and how anybody can moan at that price beats me. I don't know what the full price is. I see it will cost me £215 next season. That's still a gift.

Apparently the aim is for an approx 12.5% increase which will put us in line with our neighbours (PNE).

Also I hear there may be one of the owners over tomorrow but the main issue is that the accountant is over from India, and next season's budgets will be discussed next Tuesday.

Not happy with the price increase, will have to think about of it is worth it or not. Missed a lot of midweek games living 150+ miles away. Not sure it is worth it this time. Fancied going on the jw upper too.

Worry is that they move more games to Sunday, Friday night and so on making it real hard work to get there.

My season ticket has increased by about £16 for a bloody SEASON. We have gone up a level with all the necessary wage and transfer increases and I can't believe all the bitching and moaning on BRFCS and it's starting on here. We have some of the cheapest prices in football. Will they still be moaning when we have to sell Bradley Dack to cover the increased expenses? I find the Rovers supporters unbelievable. If you want a decent team pay up and enjoy the football or don't and go straight back down again.

I have much empathy with both of the last two posts.
It won't bother me one bit as we've all got used to subsidised ST's and after all someone has to pay the piper. There is no way that BRFC ST's could ever be deemed expensive in comparison to the rest of football. However I warned of the consequences in 2007 when the club announced the significant reduction in ST prices. Relegation from the Prem would at some time cause ticket prices to rise which is a tough 'double' for already disenchanted supporters to accept.
BUT
By the same token supporting from 150 miles away makes a round trip of 300 miles pretty expensive in both time and money in anyone's book. That must amount to around £100 per home match over the season.

That's the long and short of it IMO. For 20 years Jack's wealth and then the legacy of it allowed our fans to live in a bubble detached from the club's finacial requirements.

That's over and the situation now is we get what we pay for. Or expect Venkys to foot the bill which doesn't strike me as being particularly realistic.

The ST’s are a reasonable price.

We have had cheap / subsidised tickets for far too long. The product has been undervalued, cheap ST’s only work for so long until the punters (sorry fans) expect them every season. You reap what you sow when you cheapen the product.
