None of the players looked arsed today when the third went in.

No midfield, no attack.
Two of our best players, Morton and Dack don't get a game but Dolan does ffs!?

Apparently Hedges had a bust up before the reading game with JDT. On the bench weds and not in the squad today with a “hamstring” lad completed a second half on weds and was full of running.
Apparently? Reliable source please and that doesn’t include anything from the dark side.

We are fourth. We have won three and only lost two games against teams that are above us. Reading played out of their skin after no doubt getting the bollocking of their lives and Sheff Utd by rights should be in the premier league. Some of you lot need to get a grip, this board is starting to look akin to the hysterical dark side.
Like Kenny Roger’s said, there’s time enough for counting when the dealings done.

Shots on target ......0!!!! Last time I saw this it was away at spurs with Keane in charge.

Well that was crap again. Even our best player fudged the first goal (you're supposed to make a wall to cover one side of the goal and you make sure the other side is covered, WTF was he doing? 🤦‍♂️)
Anyway, we would not have scored in a month of Sundays. We only really won 2 of the other 3 games because of shots that went in (that would normally have hit row Z).

Still 9 points on the board is not bad at this stage. Had that been an unbeaten 2 wins and 3 draws it would have sounded amazing.
I guess this is the best we can expect with a squad that is poorer than last season.

We are still so soft again. As soon as the other teams score first you have a feeling the game is practically over.

You have good points ODB, but still I´m a bit worried how our games have looked. We have been very efficient with our goal-scoring, no question about it. However, the last two games have been dreadful with a team who doesn't look like a team. My biggest concern is the midfield who seems to be almost non-existent from time to time. To me Buckley is a waste of talent in his more defensive role this season so far. Last season was very good for him ,even though he had his ups and downs, and in that more offensive role you could see his qualities while now I feel he is more held back. IMO we would need a new defensive/holding midfielder who can team up with Travis if we are going to stick to this formation.
The midfield is supposed to protect the defense but yesterday no-one could hold on to a ball so Sheff Utd attacked wave after wave against Ayala and our 17 year old Ashley Phillips. It was inevitable that they would not start to score because we didn't have the quality to hold a ball and deliver it in a good way to our attackers.

Its a bit too early to rate Szmodics, but I have to ask, what is he supposed to add to our team that we don´t have in Buckley or Dack for instance? It takes some time to adjust to a team so I hope will improve with time but I have hard time getting my head around this transfer as he hasn't showed any outstanding qualities so far. Surley prio one should have been a strong center midfielder?

Hopefully we can play a lot of reserves in the mid-week cup tie because the schedule for this season is insane thanks to our rich friends down in the Arab countries.

You don't need my views on this game as most of you watched it too.

Utter garbage. JDT is now under pressure because we've lost the second game in a week 3-0 with players looking like they don't give a Fuck. Maybe the bust up rumours with Hedges is true?

Horrendous
We are fourth in the league currently and JDT is now under pressure? :joy:. We need a few signings this week now. Squad need players.

Was on Twitter just before the reading game, they didn’t look to enthralled getting of the bus weds next to the reading ticket office.
more twitter BS rumours like the one that BBD wouldn't be in the squad yesterday. We don't need people making crap up just to get views on twitter

JDT said the injury happened Saturday morning and he was with the squad yesterday. Maybe stop reading these BS rumours and have faith JDT telling the fans the truth which he has done from day 1 walking in the door

Have faith have this etc, rather than being patronised, I'll watch with my own eyes and make a judgement thanks. We are 4th but we have the lowest XPT (Expected Goals) stat in the league 24/24, we look shaky at the back, and we seem to have a collection of players who are all central players with no width but we play with wide forwards and wing backs who can't run?

The game was abysmal yet again. Whilst we are playing Sheff United very recently of the PL and still on the PL handouts, to put in two of our worst performances and get hammered again in the same week is simply unforgivable. JDT is coming across as a bit of a salesman at the moment. If he's admitting live on radio with Bayes the players did not carryout what was asked of them before the game then it would suggest the players are either too thick to understand or they just don't seem convinced by the managers plans. Personally I think his pressing style has been sussed already and his tactics over dallying on the ball leaves us vulnerable at the back.

The whole "ask Gregg" with Broughton refusing to give interviews to anyone is weird. It's almost as if JDT Is passing the book saying I'm not responsible for this transfer window mess.

Still think we will finish 16/17th.

Who cares about XPT is? The league table says we are 4th. That the only table that matters not a bloody XPT table. Also this is project as JDT keeps saying it from day 1. Maybe lets the project get properly going and team evolve in the coming months before such a judgement.

JDT isn't responsible for bringing in players but that GB job. So its not passing the book but people actually understand how this structure and who is responsible for different roles with this new management team. I always fear when we went down this read that some people would fail to understand how it works and how it runs with our club.

Every interview he does is about players and he's getting shafted. Shades of the Coyle era for me only to then receive a boat load of players last minute. Utter shambles on and off the pitch.
Puts your Hedges's bust up post in the BS column doesn't it.

What yourself and others aren't realising that the Championship transfer market is very slow in the couple of weeks and we are looking at quality players that will only be release when Liverpool's injury crisis is over for example. We don't need average player signings like we seen in previous seasons. We need quality signings.

It strikes me that we do not have one player (apart from Dack who the manager for some unfathomable reason will not play) with any flair. No one can beat a man with the ball. You need some runners but you also need someone who can pull the strings. We do not have one. The two players we have bought seem inferior to the ones we already had to me.

Not in my opinion from the games I have seen him play. I actually prefer Rankin-Costello over Brittain.
wow wow. I almost chock on my pint on milk reading that.

I have championed us signing Callum Brittain for nearly a year and delighted when he signed here. That is based on a number of games I seen live in stadium and watched him on TV.

Fucking Internet!!!
Bring back The Sports Pink
Fuck me, I'd forgotten about that, that was the paper rolled out Saturday tea time with the results in wasn't it? Shag me, how times have changed in such a short space of years, how will we be getting our info in another 30 years. I'll have pegged it by then so someones gonna have to reach out to other side to let me know.

Just to cheer everyone up, we're going to win our next 5 games and be top of the league again soon.

COYB.

How do you or anybody on the outside know what is the truth? Football manager speak is naturally flawed as far as the truth is concerned/

The following is c&p'd from the Daily Mirror in 2012.

Steve said: “We are not going to be able to invent 10 games where we can go on an unbeaten run because there are not enough games left.”
Gordon says: Steve is certainly on top of things.??

Steve on Ryan Nelsen: “He's in a bad way. I've just been to see him. He's in traction. We need experienced players in the team and I can't wait to get him back, but I doubt he'll be let out before the end of the season."
Gordon says: Four days later Nelsen made his debut for Spurs.

Steve on Junior Hoilett, December 2010: “He's desperate to sign, we're making progress”.
Gordon says: Needless to say, Hoilett will walk away for nothing in the coming weeks.

Steve said: “We feel that Myles Anderson is a player with great potential as a late developer. He could become something of a Chris Smalling, who came through late in football and Myles has done the same.

Gordon says: Myles Anderson, son of Kean's agent Jerome, has never played for Blackburn.

Steve said: “Bruno - or Denis after Denis Irwin, the boys call him, because he never gives the ball away - will fill in that position and that is great for us."
Gordon says: Bruno Ribeiro - or Denis - has never played for Rovers. None of us even knows what he looks like!

Steve said: “David’s always been put on a par with a young Rooney and he can certainly score all types of goals… It’s not just nice tap-ins, he can create a goal for himself, score from outside the box, chip them in, pass them in, smash them in."
Gordon says: A young Mickey Rooney more like. David Goodwillie has scored two league goals this season.

Steve said: “There is no way Chris Samba is leaving this football club. I've spoken to the owners and that's the end of the matter.”
Gordon says: Samba left two weeks later.?

Steve on being knocked out of the Carling Cup quarter-finals by Cardiff: “We are in a position where we have forfeited going through and having the chance to reach a Cup final. We have games against sides within touching distance of us in the league. We need to treat those games as Cup finals.”
Gordon says: Why did he not say that beforehand in order to save supporters a wasted journey? We ended up 'forfeiting' a lot of those other 'Cup finals' too.

Steve on the January 2012 transfer window: “We are going to do our business early and get experienced players."
Gordon says: The unknown Antony Modeste arrived on January 19th. The rest of the business was done on deadline day and the ‘experienced’ players were uncapped Bradley Orr and the obscure Marcus Olsson.??

So you see chaddy 'As Abe Lincoln is reported to have said "
“You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time.”
