I come out of retirement to tell you a story.

I was doing my usual detailed research and analysis for the Sheffield Wednesday away preview and came across a most interesting story from the Daily Mirror:

“Sheffield Wednesday fan claims a sex act was performed in stands during clash with Stoke
A Sheffield Wednesday fan has spoken of her horror at witnessing a sex act during the team's match with Stoke last weekend.

The Owls fan took to social media to express her outrage and disgust after turning around to witness a fellow fan perform a sex act on a man in the stands at Hillsborough.

The hosts came from behind to earn a point against the Potters, but the unsavoury scene left Mum of two 'Chezza' shocked and disgusted.

“Still can't get over how I saw a woman masturbating a bloke on Kop today. And I'm not joking," wrote @Chezricho.

“Spoilt rest of the match genuinely didn't know what to do!!! Sat right behind me!!!! Only just hitting me what actually happened!

"They spoke in English but both in foreign accents, so both must have been different nationalities. Jeez some people! It was disgusting in any language!”

As a result grounds around the country are to erect (sorry, could not help myself) the following signage:
28FC7588-F6AD-48DA-A8FA-E1D12F06C086.jpeg

I cannot understand why the woman did not record the said event on her mobile moan (sorry I mean phone). Anyhow next time you hear the BBEnd moaning it is not the Rovers players they are decrying but a collective masturbation over Dacks dribble.

Incidentally if any female readers of this column wish to give me a quickie in the stands please send a PM. I will be available v Wigan this evening but please warm your hands with a large sausage roll beforehand.

What about famous fans of Sheffield Wank**s FC. The comedy actor Sean Bean comes to mind, he is so so funny in Johnny English:

The former Labour MP ‘grandee’ David ’Blunkett the Junket’ comes to mind. He has been watching the team since he was a little lad. A quick google search reveals that his net worth is over £1M, yet another champagne socialist:
CBC8D07F-A1A2-4782-A36C-FE869160C3DE.jpeg

Another fan is Richard McCourt, one half of children's entertaining duo Dick and Dom, and most recently presented the Saturday morning CBBC show Dick And Dom In Da Bungalow.
However his clean television image has been tarnished on a drunken night out after the star admitted to having taken drugs.
According to The Sun newspaper, McCourt told strangers: "I have taken drugs."

He was last spotted in the Kop at the home game v Stoke with a big smile on his face.

Also coming out of retirement for this preview is our very own Miss roverfans.com Kate Garraway. She has agreed to market and promote our very own range of roversfans.com underwear and cocktail suits:

As for the game goodness only knows. Rovers will play with 10 players out of position, Mowbray will blame our performance on groaning in the stands, humping up the long ball, and Viagra in the 1/2 time pot of tea.

4-3 with all the home goals in the last 10 minutes.

I am going to sit in the Kop btw ;)

Welcome back from retirement BB! Best to putting all that retirement stuff off for a while anyway cos the next big event in ones life is usually the one we don't even want to talk about. :worried:

btw I'm sure it was all innocent! The man was probably very hard of hearing and the woman simply using a foreign form of sign to describe to him that Preston were the next visitors to Hillsborough.

Sean Bean is a blade pal, just to save you your teeth if you ever meet him and ask about Wednesday!

My prediction 2-1 to Wednesday

Anyone heading to the game who fancies a cracking pint in a proper boozer should head here:

Best pub in Sheffield, situated at Kelham island, 10 minutes from the railway station towards Hillsborough, you'll not regret it.

Also based in Kelham island, which was once dominated by disused mills, is The Cutlery works:

https://yorkshirefoodguide.co.uk/blog/cutlery-works-sheffield/

I can recommend the Vietnamese chicken sandwich (I actually had steak pie, peas and gravy, the Mrs had the sandwich) all types of food under one roof, and they practically divvy up the takings at the end of the day and share any profits.

As for the game, Bruce seems to have had that new managerial bounce, so I'll go for 1-1.

Didn’t want to give this the oxygen of a separate thread , so put it in this one . Just read this on Rovers Twitter .

“ Rovers wish to remind supporters that the club will not tolerate discriminatory language after Derrick Williams was subjected to racist abuse on social media. The individual has been dealt with by the Police & suspended from Ewood Park pending the completion of the legal process “

I sometimes wonder how brain dead some of our fans are . Racially abusing your own players !!!

I think we probably have one of the friendliest and knowledgeable set around , but there are always some bad apples . If found guilty I trust any sanction applied will be appropriate .

Looks like that lot down the M65 have a set of similar morons .

Sadly not the first time, I recall those two morons from Leyland in the BBE giving some disgusting chants to Dwight Yorke some years ago. I hope this ejit ‘fan’ gets a life ban as an example.

Indeed but I've no idea how they can work these days, unless it's the old 'report to the nearest Police station' when Rovers matches are on. Might be best to put them in a cell 30 mins before until 30 mins after the match with regular 'Bog Brother' type links of them in their cell being displayed on the big screen at regular intervals. That way people will recognise them plus it's a constant reminder to others to behave in a proper fashion.

Can't see how we can win this, our makeshift defence is up against a different animal to Wigan so with great sadness I am going for 3-1 to Sheff Weds...…………..and of course hoping I am wrong

Agree with Steve and just like Steve , hope I’m completely wrong

I think our makeshift defence will be found out tomorrow . Up front if Danny Graham fails to recover from his injury or is rested , then I can’t see Rovers scoring. Wednesday on the up if recent results are anything to go by .

Same result as at Sheffield United .

The Owls 3

The Famous Blue and White Halves 0

Up the Rovers

Hi, we are a sports club who welcome smaller groups of sensible away fans, even those willing to pay £33. A couple of miles north of Hillsborough we are oughtibridge war memorial sports club, off waterside gardens, oughtibridge, Sheffield, S35 0JS. Turn immediately right when on WG and down the lane next to river and park on lane outside gates. Mini bus, cars ok but not coaches. You can actually walk it from there in about 35 mins, lovely day for it☔Can’t offer you beer with twigs in like Kelham, we have Carliing and Worthies

Going for a draw today, hope Tony gives Rothwell a chance. Our defence is always the worry although we did manage to keep a clean sheet midweek (shock). Come on Rovers, lets give it right good go today

Not great stats from Sky Sports...........

Sheffield Wednesday have lost just one of their last 10 home league games against Blackburn (W5 D4 L1), a 1-2 loss in March 2015.

Blackburn are looking to complete a league double over Sheffield Wednesday for the first time since the 1994-95 season, when Rovers won the Premier League title.

In all competitions, Steve Bruce has won nine of his last 10 home games against Blackburn (D1) since losing 0-4 in December 2003 with Birmingham City.

No Championship team have conceded more away goals this than Blackburn Rovers (38, level with Hull and Wigan).

Sw 3-2 brfc
