All the best to you too then. I'm after a couple of knee replacements but the consultant says I have to wait until I'm 60!

Is that a medical reason ODB or triage? I have a mate in the Netherlands who went down the knee reconstruction route, rather than a replacement, because he was advised he would get a lot more movement when it was done. It took 6 long months of recuperation but he's happy now that he didn't go for a replacement.

Thanks for your reply pal. I’ve been diagnosed with osteoarthritis so it generally wear and tear in both knees. My consultant said the replacement joints only last for about ten years so he wouldn’t go down this route for anyone under 60.

ODB you might be thin as a rake but the first method of self help is to lose a stone or two. I lost just under a stone and then put it all back again but if one can keep it off the difference can be significant.
