The commission has said it hopes member states will allocate twice that minimum amount – but there would not be any obligation.”

So am I reading that correctly in that the individual country does not necessarily have to put money aside to ease the poor and spend it elsewhere, but at the same time try and get the money from Brussels?

Thank god we’re coming out. Those remoaners are bloody idiots! I’m sick of subsiding every other country in the EU whilst we have problems at home such as homelessness which need sorting out.
