I rem his first season well. The press and media loved him as a 16 year old debutant.
" Francis quickly rose in status, making his debut for Birmingham City's first team in 1970, aged just 16. His talent was noted when, before his 17th birthday, he scored four goals in a match against Bolton Wanderers.[4] He ended his first season with 15 goals from just 22 games."

Bit like Fowler and Owen though as his early career out shone his later one.

Odd club Brum. I often complain about our position surrounded by other town teams and how we can't ever hope to attract more supporters but Brum is the 2nd biggest city in the country yet only rarely do they play in the top division let alone dominate it and their attendances reflect this.

I still haven't forgiven "Big Club" for the downright cheating that "King of the Jungle" 'Arry Redknapp performed in 2017 resulting in Rovers being relegated and Birmingham staying in the Championship. It's not easy to forget something like that.

You should direct your ire at David Wagner for fielding an understrength team. Although knowing Honest 'Arry, maybe a few brown paper bags were involved.

That's why I'm hoping Huddersfield get relegated this season.
So am I but if it's Huddersfield or Burnley it's Burnley to be relegated every time. Hopefully both.

At one time wasn't Birmingham full of our cast-offs?

Jeff Kenna, Damien Johnson, Tiny Taylor and Dunny?
Those were the days weren't they?

My PNE supporting mate said Brum were awful against Preston ... but they won 3-0.
