There's an article in the LT about Tony's daughter wanting fans to donate to help her with her dad's Alzheimer's.

Now, I realise that this is cheap of me, but I totally refuse to put money in the coffers of any news organisation by registering.

So, can someone post the link to the fund me page, so I can drop a few quid into the fund.

I'm afraid these donation pages are being used for the wrong things these days.Im sure Tony made enough coin in his career to pay for his own care.People stuck abroad because they have no lnsurance,funerals,bodies being flown home, repatriation another sign of snowflake society we live in.

He wouldn't have made an absolute fortune but he should have enough to be comfortable. I suppose the family don't want to see the house value whittled away to fund the care for him. I'd throw a few bob in but let's be honest we couldn't do that with every sufferer from Alzheimers could we?

I wonder if the PFA can help him . They seem to have lots of money . Last time I looked on the Certification Officers Annual Report for Trade Unions and Employers Associations, Gordon Taylor their General Secretary was on circa a million pounds a year plus benefits .

I’d like to think they aren’t like most Trade Unions where the officials are on belting salaries and benefits , funded by the ordinary Joes who are daft enough to pay their subs . Unfortunately the article below shows they’re just the same .

3.1 million for his final 12v months 'work'. The .1 would do for TP. Taylor is a greedy barsteward but they were teammates remember.

It no doubt will but how galling for Mekky's family. As far as I know he got sweet FA recognition or help from the club when he developed and died from Alzheimers.
