Shaun I think Nibali is starting but fancy Contador may win this year.
I'm a bit cheesed off because the Tour comes through Sarlat and Vitrac on 11th July which is where we live. Unfortunately we're back in the UK then so we'll miss watching it come through town. The atmosphere and craic is much better than the event itself.
Last time it was local to us was when Wiggins won for the first time and a 3 hour wait at the roadside for 10 seconds as the peleton raced past at Souillac was hardly worth it.
It's one of those to say I've done it and seen it but coverage on TV is much better than spectating live.

Cav is out..broken shoulder . It could of been a hell of a lot worse after having his head run over and the bike's handle bars smashed back in his face.

Another borefest like Wimbledon.
I must say I can't quite grasp the attraction for the thousands of people who line the route. Hours to get there and back and to gain a good vantage point just to see a blur of colour with no detail as the pelaton passes at speed before eating a picnic lunch and setting off home. Like nearly all sports these days the entire spectacle is much better watched on the telly..... even then a cycling race put's me to sleep in about 5 minutes flat.
