Poor old Shane McGowan's gone. Should surprise no one really. Great voice but ruined his own life with drink and probably drugs too. How he has lasted this long is amazing. We were chatting in a pub about who would likely die around New Year 2012 and he was my choice. He's done well to see out another decade. Might surprise people to discover that he was educated at Westminster school..... before he was expelled that is!
