I wonder if the Venkys see this sort of publications and wonder what they are doing to their reputation?

Is it just me or does anybody else believe that the NAPM thing is on a downward trajectory? I know it's close season but I don't seem to hear much these days. I guess lots who don't want to watch 3rd Div stuff will blame the owners but deep down it won't be the real reason but rather a convenient excuse for many. Lets be honest it's happened before. I know cos I've witnessed it and it happened before I'd had a keema curry in the Khyber for just 15p in '74 never mind before the Indian owners of BRFC trapped up.
I wonder if anyone can devise a test to prove one or the other? Other than of course to see who returns should the ownership change. I seriously doubt there will be as many as people think.

I'd say its pretty much impossible to quantify the exact contribution to our declining attendances of arguably about a dozen factors. But our average attendance last season of 12,688 was the biggest percentage drop under Venkys (against the season before), discounting the one immediately after relegation. So if NAPM is on a downward trajectory, its not reflected in the figures.

I tend to agree - quite a few seem to be reaching the opinion that the sacrifice is outweighing the principle, Just reading posts elsewhere there does seem to be quite a few returning/renewing that had been very vociferous protesters/boycotters.
Maybe the realisation that we are in the mess that we are in! is causing a bit of "backs against the wall bulldog spirit"

I have always sort of wanted to completely boycott( and fully understand and support those that have/do) - but I know that I just cant!
one game, against Hull proved that to me

Reading Twitter & Facebook all's I can say ...what a set of fickle fans we have .
Totally forgive/forget mode over a cash signing ffs . Let's forget what the Scummers have done, let's forget the players sold and not replaced and one signing in Division 3 and all is forgiven .
Personally I don't care if we signed Messi .#venkysout #napm

You're right Abbey. We've had so many seasons of crap management, selling off the better players and not replacing them, padding the team with loanees and generally being beaten up and dumbed down.

One almost "normal" pre-season where we buy players in June and spend the odd bit of cash does a bit of a relief but many seem to be getting carried away a bit too much.
If anyone needs a reality check, just have another look at that fixture list and the smelling salts will soon kick in

Bit off topic but what a great comment this is...

” I am not paying him a penny - add some time to my prison sentence.”

From a Blackpool fan outside court in regards to Oyston. Exactly what I would have said if Venkys (or the Walkers) sued me over criticism. There's a very twisted part of me that even enjoys the thought. My head can be a scary place at times lol.

EDIT-Full article. Fine was only £11.60 too!

Not sure that I would be championing Rushton's cause all that much given his record Vinjay.
