I don't understand this.... in my day one would not have got to the sixth form never mind Cambridge university with just two GCSE's (we didn't even have them, our only option was the much more difficult GCE's). No doubt for someone so disadvantaged he's done well but can we be informed what his student loan stands at and how it can ever be paid back?
I'm sure it's just 'right on ya' political stuff from left wing educationalists but surely this chaps inclusion is the exclusion of somebody far more qualified and suitable of a place at Cambridge?

The public eventually to the rescue but wtf were the police officers doing? Sure without a rider that horse could have bolted in order to outrun the dog and been a danger to the public but the other horse rider could have tethered his/her horse and gone to help. I'd have been out of the saddle with my baton / pepper spray or taser in a flash. Yet more unhelpful footage of the force.

I’m amazed the horse didn’t kick it to death. Good training for the horse though, in a riot things go downhill very quickly.

There was a chance or two when the dog went around the back but it would hopefully have trampled it with it's front hooves but for the police rider keeping it in check with the reins. I hope they have since trained it how to kill attacking dogs.
