First to congratulate Big Sam on the best game that I have ever seen from him. Like the Men at Work lyric " 6ft 4 and full of muscle". Why it's taken him 5 years or so to show it is a mystery. He bullied the Stoke defence, provided an assist for dolan's second goal and linked well with him and szmodic. Carried out defensive duties from corners as we know he can and generally have an energetic display. We missed him when he was replaced by the ineffective telalovic.

Is this a flash in the pan? Is he angling for a lucrative offer from elsewhere perhaps? Has he at last grown into his strength? Whatever it is I want to see more of it from him.
Just one critical comment, he should have taken another touch before he shot when clean through on goal.

He’s always been our best striker just used so ineffectively over the years. He cared about this club, time people realise how good he is.
