I have to say that imo someone would have to be certifiably insane to travel to Qatar to watch the World Cup. For a start it's only their because of bribery and corruption with that little weasel Blatter suddenly discovering 10 years later that Qatar is a small country! Pull the other one you spiv.

Plus I find nothing wrong with James Cleverly's advice for homosexuals to watch their step if they go. I'd say that is a responsible warning and it is unfair to accuse him of shoving them back in the closet. Crikey in Qatar the ultimate penalty is the death sentence! Maybe a more homophobic politician would have simply said nowt!:imp:

As for the 11th hour no alcohol ruling in the Stadia it's probably to be expected, refer to my opening sentence above. If they hadn't done it now it would only take a flash point at one of the games before it is introduced. However just imagine if you book a cruise holiday only to get on board and discover EG have bought the company and off loaded all the alcohol to be sold, according to their naked double standards in Asda! Soft drinks and lassa only for 14 days! One would justifiably be pretty pissed off.

Iran 20th in the world are no push overs playing in what will almost be a home fixture for them. I'm predicting a 1-0 defeat for England.

It's hard to get up for a winter world cup.

England kick off in 10mins & it just feels like one of those pointless friendly international days.

I didn't even know what time we were playing until my dad told me.

Hopefully the mighty Iran can give us a good game (in fact this is how bad it is - I don't even care who wins - in a WC Finals game FFS - that is how much I dislike the whole Southgate set-up).

Just heard that BBC didn't even show the WC opening ceremony yesterday and instead gave everyone a hypocritical virtue signalling lecture. Urrrgghhh!

I hate this WC even more.

I am suffering from a case of Qatar-19 at the moment.

I did a test and it was LGBTQ Floyd career criminal positive.

The remedy is to watch 4 weeks of virtue signalling.
