A night to remember in the big smoke for
@Cymru. The Hollywood crew won't have liked that, much.
Pears
A very solid showing. Felt he could have positioned himself better for Wrexham's goal, but out of our current two goalkeppers, he is visibly more commanding than his colleague.
Hyam
A very steady performance. Handled Mullin very well. Starting to get back to the Hyam we saw last season.
S Wharton
Good passing on the ball. He's noticeably improved in that front.
Rankin-Costello
Showed the strength that we've been lacking as part of our back four or five. Played with fight and a swagger.
Garrett
Not his greatest showing. Gave the ball away cheaply for Wrexham's goal and deserved a yellow by the second-half.
Tronstad
Delighted to see him get his first goal in Rovers' colours. Steady as always, held the fort, and pulled the strings. A good game from him as usual. It's always Sonny in Philadelphia.
Moran
Some decent play but still looks short of confidence. I think he will pick up again.
Dolan
Played very well on his first start for two months. Nice touches, lots of hard work, with just a tiny bit of rust here and there.
Szmodics
Man of the Match. Was full of energy and everywhere. A good brace and probably deserved a hat-trick. Great application as always.
Sigudsson
Some decent runs here and there. I can't recall much else.
Gallagher
Intelligent pull-back for Szmodics equaliser. Easy decision for his goal against Wrexham's onrushing foolish goalkeeper. Made a good tackle for Tronstad's goal. We need this man playing up front because the others aren't currently cutting it in that position. If he goes, he must be replaced with a physical player.
As for the subs...
Telalović
Neat bits of play. Showed glimpses of quality. One for the future.
Atcheson
Too little time on the pitch to notice, but heard great things about him in the U21s. Will be a boost for him to get senior game time.
Markanday
Too litte time on the pitch to notice.
Overall, we did a very professional job on them. Similar to Cambridge, the opposition were only competitive in the first half an hour or so, but we turned them over easily in the end, and it could have been more.
Bring on the Magpies.
