This hurts but that's life isn't it?
Question is would he have been stepped up to the U21's if he was still here?
Tuff shit stadium isn't far away if anyone wants to watch the match.

Congratulations to the lad is in place. It hurts and I wish he could have been here for longer but with his talent it’s not a big surprise that he moved on. We would most likely have needed a promotion to PL to have kept him at the club.

This suggests you were correct yet again BB. If theoretically he stays at Palace for two years and helps keep them in the premier league then he would have contributed to Crystal Palace making over £200m. If he was then sold to say Liverpool for £42m then we would get another £3m. Wow, we were ripped off by Palace and all down to the fact that we needed the money as the Venky's dodgy activities had forced the Indian government to stop them sending money over to us in the UK. The whole sale hurts me just like when Shearer left, Adam had signed a new contract a month before he was sold and I don't think he wanted to leave at all.

I wish they would F*** Off now and sell the club. They F***** up our past and now they are doing the same with our future.

Full agreement It's heart braking. He was the fulcrum and quarterback of the team and Sammie owes a lot of his goals to his passes.

Wharton played a sublime pass out to the wing to create the Palace goal at Anfield on Sunday. Proper Tugayesque where he wrong footed the Liverpool defence completely.
10 seconds in that had even Klopp admiring ....

I'd say the venkymob have supported the club naively but very well financially. They've been chucking 20m pa in with little hope of any return. They don't know what they are doing dealing with English football for sure but they certainly haven't abandoned the club and run for the hills have they? Nor have they assett stripped as many including myself thought they might back in 2010. Over their time here they screwed up getting rid of the Allardyce, Williams, Finn, Goodman team for sure which I'm sure they now recognise but let's be honest they'd all have gone now anyway. They've supported the Cat A Academy crown jewel for sure, currently they've handed the reins to Waggot who is doing a reasonable job (not great and not poor) with the rules he's having to work to. Just like the Big Sam issue I will never understand the decision to force Mowbray out. He was doing a sterling job with meagre finances.

Looking at recent ins and outs I have to query the job that Gregg Broughton is doing and feel there should be a forensic look at his work. We've signed some absolute shite players (Szmodics being one of the few exceptions) and imo been ripped off by the agents of existing players who have walked out of the door for nowt or next to nowt. Broughton's saving grace has been the development of the Academy players which he has had little or nowt to do with. How we allowed the BBD and Phillips situations to happen I have no idea, it seemed to me that we've been trying to play hardball with the players and their agents but with a ball of wool. Kaminsky? No idea what happened there but JDT or Broughton drove him out of the door. I don't know the ins and outs of these moves of course but surely based on a half a loaf is better than none basis any negotiations could have seen us hand over a significant %age of any transfer fee on them leaving rather than allow them to walk away for nowt or next to nowt? Sure we could never force anyone to sign a contract extension but from an agents perspective a bird in the hand situation might have worked as their charges could at any point suffer a career ending injury and that would be that.
