Not a bad debut for a chap who only signed yesterday and had just the one training session with the squad. As he had Carter next to him who has been out for a month and a makeshift right back in Lewis Travage I thought he did pretty well. We didn’t seem to miss the recently excellent Ayala at all.

Overall he looks like a very astute purchase, long may it continue. Apparently we have used nine different players in defence in the last four fixtures and as every good manager knows, a settled defence is the first thing to get sorted at a football club.

He looked OK to me given that he was up against a bruiser in madine. We prob need to see him up against pace to judge fully. The defence was excellent yesterday after the rovers had 'quietened' the crowd after a dodgy start.
