Just as well he won't be doing it anymore.

Seems Klopp wants a replay with spurs now! 🙄

Liverpool - always the victims eh?

Despite it still getting 90% of decisions correct? Much better than in the past when the kop, Stretford end, north bank, shed etc etc refereed the matches.

Everton the victims of big club ref bias in a manner that I thought VAR would have eradicated. They were down to 10 and Liverpool should have been too!

Poor old Burnley, undone by a (close, tardy but ultimately correct) VAR decision. Funny you haven't been complaining ODB. 😉

You are of course entitled to your views pal as am I. My view is that it’s spoiling the game which seems to be a common and popular view within the media and amongst ex players.

So it looks like Newcastle may be exiting the champions league due to yet another sh*t decision by VAR. if you’re ever in Newcastle drog I wouldn’t mention VAR, in fact you could do with having a look at the PSG non penalty. I would welcome your thoughts. This system that is supposed to end controversy creates even more and is surely spoiling the game.

Arab money / Polish ref. Only one outcome.:imp:

Someone needs to remind ODB about the story of King Canute. :D

Truely, I am over VAR.
Sydney FC goalkeeper rushes out of his area, opposition guy shoots to try and chip it into the net, ball hits his upper arm/chest, (his arm was away from his body), but he was turning away from the direction of the ball. Absolutely no intent from the keeper.
VAR, red card!
Thanks for ruining the contest.

Let's get back to referees refereeing the game.

And VAR denies a goal to Sydney,
Feet on the "line", but he's leaning forward, traps the ball over, pirouettes and chips the keeper. great goal, effing var

Sorry drog, VAR is killing the emotion in the game, refs are becoming less sure of their role, and the delay is just a delay and a delay and takes the emotion out of the game. Effing VAR, get rid.

I think half the time the on field referee is letting VAR and the off field referees make the decisions, not all are correct. I do agree that it’s spoiling the game.
(Cue an Al yawn now)

What really pisses me off ODB, is that the second incident was a really well engineered goal.
The player that scored was just better positioned than the defenders, they were coming forward to the incoming ball, the attacker was doing the opposite, but his feet were "onside".
Ill try to find a youtube of it.

We only hear about VAR when controversy is involved, particularly when it's a "big club". That aside, it corrects things when, at all levels in England, the financial stakes are colossal.

If VAR helps to eliminate both incompetence and big club bias, then I'm all for it. Last weekend was a hurtful result because, although Sheffield Wednesday have improved since Rohl came in, we deserved to come away with something but for an atrocious refereeing mistake that cost us. The fact that Tomasson, who is usually as cool as a cucumber, was twice-carded for dissent should also tell us how poor the officiating is.

Even though I feel VAR is essential for the Championship, it doesn't mean that I like it. It's like trimming your nose hair. I don't like doing it but it tickles and irritates me when I don't.
