Rovers just issued an official statement on the McGuire deal.

Apparently there was an admin error.

Again.

If you don't laugh, you'll cry.

There is, apparently, a Board meeting tomorrow. Waggott will surely be hauled in front of the firing squad for this. Broughton might be the lackey responsible in the corridors of Ewood, but the Board will no doubt be holding Waggott to account.

Knowing Rovers, it could be innocuous and nobody will pay the price.

Do amateurs make the same mistake twice?

How on Earth can the same set of directors make the same mistake two windows on the trot. It's just too much for me to bear. I just give up. Rovers are spoiling my life at the moment so I reluctantly have to give them up. I'll probably think again over the next few weeks but from now I am no longer a Rovers supporter. This is too much for me!

I submit time-sheets to one of my clients on a weekly basis. For each week, it has a Save and a Save and submit button.

I can prepare the time-sheets based on what I agree with my client in terms of working hours, but I must submit them by a certain date each month for approval and payment. It's fairly straightforward.

It's hard to separate bullshit from fact with what flies around these days. As unbelievable as it sounds, it's as equally believable.

Since everybody else is coming up with whacky theories, here's mine.

Broughton was all over the McGuire deal because it was "the big one" of the transfer window. This talk of "process" and systems being put in place is just him being present at Brockhall on deadline day.

Since he wanted to ensure everything was in order, particularly after he admitted responsibility for the two failures last year, he took control of getting the documents to the EFL before the deadline came. Having never used the system before, he was the one who thought uploading the documents and clicking Save was all you needed to do.

The club announce the signing.

They later wonder why no confirmation came back from the EFL. To their horror, they discover that Broughton hadn't actually sent anything, and the training of "err, you need to press that button instead" came after 11pm when it was too late.

I reckon Broughton has already gone, which is why we haven't heard a peep from him, unlike last year. There were a couple of rumours that there had already been one resignation. I suspect as soon as the above was made known to Waggott, he fired Broughton on the spot for allowing late paperwork to occur for a third time in a year.

Well, it's as good as any other theory, isn't it?

Thats what Elliot in the LT is hinting at.

I'm sure I've read somewhere that from next season owners of clubs have to give assurances to the EFL that they will financially support their club throughout the season to come. That's the clowns stuffed then.

Seems venkymob copping the blame for the Indian govts crap.

Dunno waggy. It's all so murky isn't it? We keep hearing about the Indian govt's decidedly odd ruling but has it affected any other overseas Indian business? I've not heard that it has.
