We're not conceding many under Eustace. It gives us a chance of taking something from games without having to score three or four and huff and puff to do so. I reckon we'd be in the bottom three by now if Tomasson was still in charge.

Would be nice if we could create more chances, but Eustace has done a steady job so far. Taking a point from a game like yesterday instead of trying to out-pass a technically superior side and losing 2 - 0 from sucker punches gets the thumbs up from me any day of the week.

Any improvement in the results is imo down to signing Macfadzean to fill in between Hyam and Wharton and getting pears fit again. We aren't conceding silly goals as often as we did.

Many similar negative comments when Mowbray was appointed.
Two points...
1 JDT had failed.
2. It's way too soon to judge Eustace. He's here now so we need to keep an open mind and support the team on the pitch.

One swallow does not make a summer they say and I know matches against top teams provide plenty of motivation on their own but on Tuesday I felt like singing 'we've got our rovers back' as the crowd did when big Sam replaced Paul ince and we thumped Stoke City.
I'd say the signs are that the squad have taken to Eustace and his methods.

Eustace's method seems fairly straight forward to me. We have an average Championship squad with not a lot of depth, so manage them according to those realities rather than trying to emulate Manchester City or Liverpool.

Birmingham City was a poor performance, no doubt, but I would say the players have otherwise slotted into a more realistic style of football, and we've picked up points that I'm convinced we wouldn't have done under Tomasson.

I gave withering criticism to Chrisene and Ayari a fortnight ago after the dreadful shambolic performance at Cardiff when they both just appeared 'lost'. I take it back after their performance on Tuesday night.

True but let's see how he gets on over the next few games. How had JDT failed, lost on GD of the playoffs and a Semi FA Cup place?
