The article underneath is interesting. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co....tential-rovers-move-for-harry-chapman/?ref=ar
Now I loved what I saw of Chapman, his control and pace being the stuff of nightmares for defenders. However a succession of injuries must make him a risk. After 3 quite serious hamstring tears will he still have that blistering change of direction? Personally I doubt it as his head must be jangled with the fear of repeating such and he could subconsciously end up playing within himself. Also would anyone be happy insuring him?
On the plus side if his injuries are behind him he could easily be a bargain.

We definitely need a winger. Not sure injury-prone Chapman is the answer.
I like Chapman but we need a winger we can rely on week in week out. Conway is well past it and needs putting out to grass. He's been a good servant but he's too slow now.

I like Chapman but he is terribly injury prone. He may be worth a punt if his fee and salary are both low....he may make a decent impact sub at best.

He lives in Manchester BB.

However he is after all a Londoner isn't he? Plus Brighton would be about as good as it gets for him as I can't see a top half team in the Prem chasing him. Won't have helped having had his car nicked up here will it?

The trouble is that Brighton and London are far more attractive to a young man like Dack than the likes of Blackburn, especially with his woman living down there. We have always sadly been a selling club and that will not change. I suspect we will cash in, I just hope we have a decent negotiator.
I thought she lived in Manchester, I may be wrong but that's where the cars went missing from.

The bottom line is that I hope he stays. However history shows that we sell: Shearer; Duff; Bentley etc etc etc. If he had any sense he would stay, but footballers and their agents know better....this is a wallet based industry.

@Alan compared Dack leaving to us selling Shearer. A bit melodramatic imo, but you always want to keep your best players. Like you said, we’re a trading club, and a chunk of that £20m could go towards a couple of defenders and a winger.
The way TM finds then we can have a whole second team with £20 mill lol

I loved watching Harry Whizzbang (with a nod to the Peaky Blinders script writers) so if he's still the pace and ability he had when he came first it's a no brainer BUT if we get him I'd worry about shutting Rothwell out even more! On Joe's recent cameos I certainly don't want that to happen and would like Mowbray to use him as an impact sub earlier. I'd say a right back of quality is more important but the best scenario to either in is to (regrettably) sell Dack. That would allow Armstrong and Rothwell to share Dack's duties 'in the hole' which I believe both could do. Long experience (Fred Pick) though tells me that selling your leading scorer rarely bodes well does it?

Hope it hasn't affected his pace or game. That kid has given me as much pleasure watching as anyone in the last two years. All of a sudden after many years of trying we now have real pace in the squad. Any 2 from 3 Armstrong, Rothwell and Harry Chapman are the stuff of nightmares for any full back. Somehow although I don't want it to happen but the prospect of some other club snatching Dack away this next few days isn't quite as scary.
