Have you heard how Wharton's younger brother is faring at Brockhall? Word is that he is the better prospect.

I realise that from his past escapades that Rodwell might not be wired up correctly but thinking sensibly he would be daft to leave at present as a good run in the team might see better offers than a relegation threatened team from Italy's Seria B.
However enjoying La Dolce Vita in much sought after Tuscany, with Viarregio on the Italian Riviera just up the coast and close to Pisa airport and Florence..... I could see the attraction!
Is there a Mrs Rodwell who may be having some input? Whatever the reason there's usually no smoke without fire and we can't go refusing him to speak to other clubs if we are to attract more Premier League fails for rehabilitation. It'll no doubt all be down to his agent who
a. might possibly be working on instruction to find him a place in Italy.
b. might have his own agenda to make inroads into Seria A and B.
c. might be preparing the ground and getting onto the front foot for contract negotiations after recent solid performances and praise from the manager.
I guess it's a case of Que Sera Sera.

If it's a 3 year deal on half decent wages in Italia, I could see the attraction (albeit from every angle but a footballing one!)

'promising youngster'??? He's 22 and needs to be doing a little more than 'promising' at that age. With the hopeless Williams and the currently misfiring Bell in front of him if he was indeed 'promising' he'd be in the squad surely?

Shame that. He had lots of promise a couple of seasons ago and I thought he'd come through into the squad proper last season. I guess it's not to be but good luck to him and I hope he uses his move to show us that we made a mistake.
I'd imagine that the U23's might not be as strong now that Travis and Nuttall have stepped up and a few have or are heading for the exit door. Unless of course there is a new batch coming through.
