Again though its not the IT used by VAR that's at fault but rather the 'human' involvement as in 'no obvious error' as claimed by one commentator.

Well a lot of non England fans and some England fans think there was error - by the human involved in the VAR process.

I cannot understand why he/they missed the dive.

I am elated England won but somewhat ashamed as to how.

If VAR goes against us in the Final well I will not be crying.

Kane and Sterling must wear arse pads to cushion the constant impacts.

VAR is not one of my favorite bits introduced to any game, league, Union, football, cricket.

England have reached the final of a major tournament. Why on Earth do we all have to knock it? I for one am chuffed and will not be self flagellating about how we got there. We are there. Can we not just enjoy it? My God we are still discussing a decision in the 1966 World Cup final.
Every team has divers and as a matter of fact I do not believe that that was a dive for the penalty.

Me neither Al, and I also believed that Kane should have been awarded a pen with such a blatant foul in the area. The two free kicks leading up to Denmark's goal were decidedly harsh too, whilst the second in particular could have gone either way as there was so much pushing and shirt tugging going on.
Sure the 3rd goal v Germany in 66 will always be debated but we've had some awful decisions against us the years, the most obvious being Maradona's hand of God. I recall Lampard's no goal that was a yard over the line v Germany although tbh we were well beaten by the emerging German team by full time.

As for Kane he is simply doing what he did in the World Cup when we were in the lead. He's big and strong and shields the ball so well that opponents have to physically tussle him off the ball whereupon he feels the contact and goes down. They all do that if they can.
tbh v Croatia in the semis I think Kane overdid it once Vardy was on and should (when the Croatians were pushing up to the half way line in search of an equaliser) have tried to release Vardy to grab us another goal or two. Vardy could have murdered them in that situation with his pace. As I've said before Kane is no longer a 'point' man and is far better as a support striker coming late into the box as he is played at Spurs behind a speedy attacker. Unfortunately now that Vardy has retired we don't have one of those.

If you want to see professional diving then I don’t think the Italians will let us down on Sunday. Those boys know exactly how to play the system.

The ref for Sunday's final isn't short of a bob or two.

Anyway Kane's was nailed on imo and also someone said that Denmark's should have been disallowed for Danish players breaking the new one metre rule at free kicks.

You are right. Kane's was a definite penalty. Perhaps there should have been no need for extra time.

I don't understand that attitude. Unless they are playing against England I usually support the home countries. I may change my mind about Scotland now.

I don't mind them cos let's be honest they haven't been a real threat since the 70's.

It’s pathetic isn’t it when you think about it? When I was younger and Scotland either qualified when we didn’t or lasted longer in the tournament then I always hoped they would do well. This SNP lot are showing themselves up for the nasty petty racist party we always suspected that they really are.
